In short: Best 1/2 course going!
In full: I absolutely love this course. It really is so much fun. Defintely my favourite 1/2. I think everyone should do this race.

However, as others have mentioned, the start is a bit of a mess. I know it's hard to organise so many people and make sure they are in the correct places, but if there was some way of marshalling this to try and get people to start in the correct place it would make a big difference.

Also I don't know if I just completely missed it, but I couldn't see any water or anything available at the finish. I remember thinking the same last year as well.

In short: Despite crazy weather loved the entire thing
In full: The organisers, marshalls and supporters were absolutely fantastic. I kept trying to work out who was madder, us for running in that weather or all of them for standing around in it to support us? After having a DNF at Luton last year I was determined to give it everything this year. Somehow managed to smash my PB and get myself a championship time for FLM so am bloody delighted.

In short: Will always love this one
In full: Last years race was my first ever race and as it's now my 10km PB course I'll always love this one. It seems to attract people from those superhuman sub 35 min 10k runners to complete beginners, all of whom show great support for each other. Whatever your ability I definitely recommend this one.

In short: Fantastic organisation and beautiful surroundings
In full: Only bad thing about this race was it was my slowest 1/2 time yet, however I don't actually think the course is too tough, more my not so great training lately. Anyway point is this is a truly lovely race with brilliant organisation and really friendly and supportive marshals. Also when I contacted them about if it was possible to get a parking space which would make the race HQ accessible to my mother, who's a wheelchair user, they were brilliant and sorted it out with no problem what's so ever. Will definitely be back next year.

In short: Well worth all the pain
In full: As this was the first marathon I've managed to complete (had to pull out at mile 20 at luton last year) Blackpool is always going to have a special place in my heart now. Could have done with better, cooler, weather and I felt the course was tougher than I expected, as although there are only a few small undulations some of the surfaces and headwind can really zap it out of you. I thought it was really well organised and both the lucozade on course and the massage at the end were a true god send. Although there were some stretches where you felt slightly out of place with all the sunday shoppers staring at you, there were alot of spectators who really made a difference when I wanted to give in. I was slower than I hoped but I managed to still get inside the good for age time for london so on reflection it was pretty much a perfect day.

In short: Brilliant race - will definately do again
In full: Best race I've done so far. Fantastic marshalls and despite being a 3 lap course wasn't boring at all. All km markers very clear and excellent organisation. Over all brilliant start to the year and also made me think about getting over my shyness and joining their running club as everyone was so nice and friendly.

In short: Brillant weather and fantastic organisation
In full: Some of the narrow paths were abit annoying but overall a brilliant race and really impressed with all the marshalls. Few hills but nothing too taxing. Will definately be back.
