In short: Autumn in the countryside. Lovely. In full: Really enjoyed my second go at this. The woods and views are stunning at this time of year, and the villages are probably quite chocolate-boxy all year around.
The second half feels a lot hillier than the the first, and the last six-ish miles don't offer much let up. Guess that's what we sign up for though.
Organisation good. The point-to-point and needing buses bit is is unavoidable and actually seemed to run really painlessly. Date of review: October 5, 2014
In short: Good fun. A challenge, but not crazy. In full: I enjoyed this. The buses to and from the various start points and car parks seemed to run really smoothly, registration was effortless and there were more marshals than you could shake a stick at.
The scenery and general setting was certainly picturesque and spectators in the villages we passed looked happy to see us and get their kids to offer jelly babies.
