In short: Fantastic scenery to take your mind off the hills!
In full: Took this one quite easy as not done a lot of training and was quite last minute. Well organised, with a nice downhill before the killer hills arrived.

Support and marshalls were great, all with a smile on their faces. Great value for money and I'll be back next year trained to race it.

In short: A long but enjoyable day, ache all over the next day!
In full: A great race, obstacles were harder than expected when cobined, my muscles were like jelly afterwards! Price was justifiable due to the tech t-shirt, very good goody bag and the cost of putting the obstacles together.

Only critisism was the queue for the obstacles, having a 5 minute wait for each of the last 2 was painful.

Very enjoyable day, looking forward to next year.

In short: Fantastic one off race - highlight of my year
In full: Great celebration of the centenary. Hopefully this is a one off so it can be one I can say 'I did that'! Excellent organisation as come to be expected from the Half. Well done to Eric and all involved in organising this fantastic event.

In short: Excellent organisation. With very little wind on the seafront for a change.
In full: Love this race, it hurts most of the way up, then it hurts on the way down. Another good show from the residents of Hastings banging their pans and the choirs all out singing. Very well organised and will always be a favourite of mine.

In short: Nice flat course
In full: The change of course has meant that there are no major hold ups. Not bad support along the roads.

In short: The hills hurt!!!
In full: Was doing - steady 10 min miles, until around 18/19 miles when the hills got too much and had to walk most of the rest of the ups. Marshals were very supportive and good humored which was definitely needed. Really enjoyed as my first marathon (ultra?), see how the hill training goes as to whether I do it next year though!

In short: Fantastic course and great marshals
In full: Entering was a last minute decision this morning, but I am glad I did it.

Marshals were very encouraging and enthusiastic. Course was very challenging, and undulating is a bit of an understatement after I had to walk a part of it in the woods!

Cannot wait for this one to come around again next year.

In short: I love the hills!
In full: A great feeling to complete those hills both the uphills in the first 6 miles and the down hill near the end. Thankfully not much wind but very hot! Will definitely be back next year, especially as it is an excuse to see the parents!
