In short: There was nothing they could've done better
In full: After the buzz of finishing in a pb was starting to fade i remembered that at least 3 volunteers came up and shook my hand after i had finished. That was such a nice gesture and made me feel very special. Names on number, magnificient. Closed roads, brilliant. I know you couldn't fix the weather but that was perfect too.

In short: Great first time ultra course
In full: Although i knew the course the arrows made sure we all went the same route. The CP were well stocked so next time i know i could carry less. The people on route were friendly & the end was glorious!

In short: Ideal for 1st time & 50th time marathon runners alike.
In full: The two laps might put some people off but personally i think it is great as you get to see the supporters more in the middle sector. Big enough event for there to always be runners around you but small enough so you can run your own race, path never too crowded. Great pb potential, though we were very lucky with weather.

In short: Deceptively undulating
In full: This was a good race to attempt your first ultra. I let myself down by dipping out after the third lap to do just the marathon. Suffered from stomach cramps at 16 miles so was unable to take on proper fluid to keep me hydrated for the rest of the ultra. The race itself was a good event & a good training run for those wanting to go beyond the marathon. The water stations & marshalls were well placed & the cameraderie was supportive amongst all the runners. Thanks to IronMike for his company, i didn't get to finish my pork pie due to that stomach cramp!

In short: Not sure how they would cope with more runners in future years due to turning points & gravel path from mile 20 not feet friendly but overall very nice race
In full: The loops did allow for your own supporters to see you quite frequently over a few miles which was welcoming

In short: Good practice for a half marathon
In full: Very enjoyable. The course was pretty much shaded so didn't feel as hot as it probably was. My only criticsim is that i prefer bottles of water to cups! But for such a cheap entry fee it was pretty much perfect.
