In short: Loved it In full: I really enjoyed the race, despite the weather. I was really pleased as I achieved my target time and in general the wave system seemed to work better than many races. I started in Orange C and didn't get too badly held up. Having said that there were still many over ambitious runners in the Orange wave and quite a few white wave runners appearing in the starting line up. The only other issue I had, was if people are being constantly overtaken, or walking, please move to the side of the road - or don't tut when people plough into you or barge past you! It may be a 'fun run' to some people, but to many it is a serious PB hunting ground.
That said I will absolutely do it again! Date of review: October 28, 2008

In short: Loved it, my first half In full: Overall I thought it was great. However I just wish people would be realistic in terms of their starting positions. There were far too many walkers / joggers around me and I missed my target by 18 seconds! Whilst I realise if everyone started where they should all would be fine, I will certainly start higher up the field next time. 6 months of hard training to miss your target by 18 seconds, because you are hemmed in, is a bit gutting!
That said it was an amazing day, and a brilliant finish! I am not sure who couldn't see the mile markers?! They were fairly obvious, or are they taken down before the last runners go past them? Date of review: March 3, 2008
