In short: Trail running at its best.
In full: 2nd time I've run this race and still just as good.

Great course with lots of varied terrain, lots of up and downs, easy parking, encouraging marshalls, great price including a mars bar, medal and water.

In short: Ouch
In full: You may be able to run up that first hill then after that each slope slowly destroys your legs. You may be quick on the descents but that only because you lack the energy to slow yourself down.

A superb race with the best marshalling I have come across. Names on the race numbers is a simple idea but it makes a huge difference when a marshall uses your name and then offers up a jelly baby. It was humbling to see the "picnic" runners slog out the distance twice. Other noteable highlights, huge medal, high quality of cake, the piper, magic mug, Dr Rob leading the field in the national anthem and stunning vista from Box Hill.

In short: good venue, pancake flat
In full: good first running of this race. everything that the organozers could control was fine, from start to finish. There were a few selfish members of the public who were more than happy for their dogs and small children to play in the path of the runners risking accidents. I'm glad the organizers didn't feel the need to spend money on pointless goodie bags when its billed as a charity race.

In short: Great city, great marathon
In full: Positives
- great marshalling and volunteers, I especially liked the ongoing empty bottle collecting.
- best support behind London, the supporter were immense. Loved the old lady on here balcony in the top floor of some flats in Hove banging a tray.
- love the choir, bands and DJs. more next time please
- ample water and powerade stops.
- good course so supporter could see runners a numbers of times without having to sprint across the city
- kick ass medal

Things to improve -

- Luckily my sister lives up from Preston Park so i didn't need to use the portaloos. The queues even a hour before were huge.
- The area after the finish line was impossible to escape. Even when I was out of the enclosure i had to walk hundres of metres to the last set of stairs before the slope. I'm not sure why are the stairs were blockes off. Just make them up only and restrict the numbers going up at once.

The course had a few climbs in the first 10 miles out to Ovingdean but from 12 miles it was very flat. We were lucky with the wind as everytime i've run a race in Brighton the wind has been a huge factor.

In short: Well organized country 20miler with just a few lumps.
In full: This was very well organized. Lots of water stations and marshalls. Course is a bit lumpy in places which keeps it interesting. Nice shiney medal. I've now done 2 races by RunToLive ( other being Surrey Badger) and both have been run well on good courses.

In short: Quality course and organization.
In full: I usually avoid these huge semi corporate races but this one certainly bucks the trend. I always feel that it will be so crowded that no more than a shuffle can be achieved. But despite the numbers I didn't have any trouble getting into my pace right from the start.

The oganisation was very slick. Lots of support, which is rare.
