In full: My first proper tri. I had a brill time, although having the swim at the end I found very hard on my arms, but I expect everybody did. I also used the bike at level 1 and did not cover much distance so overall I would have come last!! But never mind, it was very well organised and I hope it will carry on as I will definately come again. Everybody was really friendly, more than I find when I do some just running events. Thanks must go to the organisers, the staff of the gym and the people of Leatherhead who had the pool much reduced for the swim.At least I know what to do with the bike next time!! Sorry to read some of the reviews from slower finishers.I enjoyed the new format. As Dr Rob says this race would not be possible withjout the amazing team of Marshalls and St John Ambulance, thank you to one and all. I am sure I will be back, and I am not one of the faster runners, I finished in 1:35, for those of you that were unhappy please re-consider for next year. Date of review: January 1, 2011

In short: What an amazing experience In full: My first Great North Run, a long way to go but worth it for the atmostphere. I acheived a PB, so I am well chuffed. Many many thanks must go to the organisers and the thousands of people who put the whole race together, without all these wonderful volunteers none of this would work, said to see people unwell by the roadside, so many thanks must go to all the first aiders, others and paramedics who looked after all the needy. In short: Shame about the weather In full: The marshalls were brilliant, esp the fact that some of them had put in all day, esp when the half-marathon must have been a wet and cold experience for them, lots of thanks must go to these wonderful people who make the races possible, so many drink stations,I don't think I have every seen so many. I found the race hard going esp about the 10 mile mark, there were many marathoners who finished before me. Date of review: May 10, 2010
