In short: Well organised fast race.
In full: Very fast race which is lucky as it's not the most interesting route!! I found it very well organsied and the atmosphere was great. This was the first time I have run this race since 2004 and the route has changed quite a bit which makes it that little bit faster.

In short: Pleasant race over familiar territory
In full: First time I've tried this but being a Horsforth Harrier the route was very familiar so I knew where the hills were and wasn't caught out by them!
Well organised and a nice friendly Sunday race.

In short: Great race and as tough as it always is!
In full: Those last 3 miles from Kirkstall Abbey to the finish always finsih me off! Was worried about how my fitness would hold up for this one (I've been ill for two weeks) but it held up pretty well. Weather was very nice tis year (not too hot, not too cold).

My only quibble as mentioned below was that the goody bag was a bit disapponting.

But all in all a great race with a great atmosphere.

In short: An ok race but some strange organisational decisions
In full: My biggest problem at this race is that we turned up at 8:35 pm and were not allowed to park in the stadium (this was in the leaflet but could have been made a ot clearer) fair enough but the marshall didn't know this and we kept getting sent round and round a diversion until we nearly missed the start of the race! Something could be do about this maybe for next year.

The race itself was fine although the route was unispiring and a bit muddled with people on different laps passing each other. The support seemed a bit subdued in places too but I put this down to being in Manchester on a wet Sunday Morning! The statdium start and finish were excellent though.

In short: A lot harder race than I was lead to believe! But fantastic Scenery and views made up for it
In full: If I could do this again (which I can next year so hooray!) then I would take it a lot slower at the start knowing what was to come ahead! the hill at mile four was probably the steepest hill I have ever raced up. I didn't see anyone get up it without walking at some point!

the river crossing at the end was great fun and made for an interesting twist. Would definitely do this race again.

In short: Fantastic Race with Great organisation and Great Atmosphere
In full: My first marathon and I loved it. Unfortunately for me my legs ran out of steam at 18 miles and I had to hobble round the last 8 miles but I made it (4h 3mins) so now I'm going to have to do it again to get a better time!
