In short: What a brilliant atmosphere In full: From start to finish what a great race. I had a slow steady start to the race. All the Marshals need an award for all there support, patience & cheers. This to date was over & above my best race. I had the support of a brilliant pace maker a local from the island too Vanessa. You are my hero!! What amazing time we had going across the island, the views were amazing.
In short: Far too much moan about In full: I am positive person. Organisation for 2014 was appalling. It took me longer to leave Reading than running it. Expensive race and I will not be going back. Date of review: March 9, 2014
In short: Woking 2015 has a lot to live up to In full: Organisation before Race Day with regular e-mail updates and Surreyhalf app. I want to pass my thanks to all the volunteers and local residents who waved, supported us through out. The Ambulance and St Johns Ambulance staff need a big applause too. You are my heroes helping out those who couldn't finish the race. Got to race village great layout and enough loos. My only concern is that I hope you don't suddenly increase the race entry by too many. Good venue to start and finish at. Shame about leaving the race track, just felt like herded sheep and then stairs to climb! Date of review: March 9, 2014
In short: Fantastic In full: Brilliant well done to all involved in the planning preparation for this race. I salute you all. Volunteers were amazing and supportive. The organisation the route was excellent. The improved section mile 16-23 although painful for me was very much improved from last year. Glad to see those two friendly gentleman at the back of the baggage area where all the family and friends had been standing. It was quiet scary watching complete strangers screaming and pushing and shoving last year. Well done can't wait to sign up for next year!! Date of review: April 16, 2012
In full: The race itself was brilliant. The warm up was fun too. The only worrying thing was people walking infront of the runners during the race. My husband even saw a cyclist crossing the road infront of runners!! Not sure if the start area was organised very well, you didn't have much room for the queue for the loos, it felt jammed with non runners and runners together.Possibly something to think about for next years race if the number of runners goes up again maybe? In short: Its was first 10km race and I throughly enjoyed it! Would advice any first timer to have ago. In full: The only comment i can make is the marshalling for cars needs more organisation. We got there in plenty of time and parked up as they were loads of space. Date of review: February 16, 2007
