In short: shocking marshals
In full: I was very unimpressed this year. I have run this race before and enjoyed it however I suffered an injury this year and found 99% of marshals uninterested. When I told one I could no longer carry on I was left with a vacant look. Further along I asked where the first aid station was to be told "I dont know". In the end I had to call for my spectator to come and collect me from mile 9 as my arm had swollen to the point where i could not bend my fingers. An absolute disgrace. Makes you realise the worth of a well orangised larger race like the great north run.

In short: good race once it got started
In full: poor organisation at the start, once race got started was very enjoyable. Crowds were not as supportive as I expected.
