In short: I knew it wasn't going to be flat but it was hillier than I expected!
In full: None of the hills were in themselves that difficult - even the last one up to the finish - but the cumulative effect makes for a challenging course! Loads of watering stations and marshalls and almost perfect conditions were some compensation at least. Well done the Lions - one for the calendar in the future!

In short: Well done race organisers - fantastic event!
In full: Many thanks to the many Rotary Club course marshalls and volunteers at water stations who made my first 26 miler such a memorable and enjoyable event. Great atmosphere amongst runners and excellent support from the spectators and officials who lined the route. Absolutely loved-it!

In short: As a complete triathlon novice the race had a fantastic relaxed atmosphere. Difficult to imagine it being much more fun!
In full: Thanks to all the team at Bustinskin for a great way to spend a Sunday morning. The whole event had a great relaxed feeling and was massive fun despite the fact my chain decided to come off my bike 3 times. Well and truly hooked now and looking forward to my next event!

In short: If the wind isn't blowing this is a definite pb course - good local support and excellent organisationn
In full: As a born and bred Recardigan - but now exiled - I was keen to return just to get the T-shirt! My expectations on the scenic potential were low and I was prepared for a sand blasting along the sea front. All in all a means to an end. What a pleasant surprise! The general organisation was first class - in particular the traffic control and marshalling. Enthusiastic local support and a fast flat circuit bursting with pb possibilities. Pity that flooding affected the parking facilities but still got parked no problems and got changed/bag dropped with time to spare. Goodie bag was a bit low on goodies but the T-shirt was what I wanted and the pb was a an extra bonus. The 700 mile round trip means I'll probably not be back next year but who knows!!

In short: Obvious organisation problems but as a 1st-timer will definitely run againn
In full: Won't add any comments about the organisation but the weather was at the root of most of the woes. Nevertheless as a first-time runner at this race I thought the atmosphere was special, the crowds were great, the race marshalls and water stations were first class and the fast, flat course meant I knocked nearly 10 mins of my PB. Soon forgot about the pre-start problems after that!

In short: A classic multi-terrain race with fantastic ever-changing scenery.
In full: A massive thanks to all the cheery-faced and enthusiastic marshalls for giving up their Sunday morning to stand in the howling wind and driving rain. Altogether a fantastic atmosphere which couldn't be dampened by the weather.

In short: What a fantastic event. Multi-terrain in every sense of the word with stunning scenery and challenging hills.
In full: Great location for a race. Having entered for the first time I realise that I should have brought the family so that they could enjoy the gardens and house whilst I submitted myself to mild torture. Loved the changing terrain and scenery and I imagine that it would get gloriously muddy in wetter conditions. Look forward to a bit of rain next year!

In short: An enjoyable multi-terrain with a tough uphill finish.
In full: The fun run and 5 miler meant that there was a good selection of runners which contributed to the atmosphere of a local school/village fete. The 8 mile was well marshalled with 3 drinks stations (it was pretty hot). Down hill for the first mile or so on quiet lanes and then off road on tracks and across fields/stiles etc. Some of the tracks were very rutted which would have made it pretty interesting in the wet. Up and over a short steep hill about half way stopped you from getting carried away and then back via fields/golf courses/drove ways before back on the lanes and a long uphill drag to the finish. BBQ and cake stall at the end of the race went down really well. All-in-all most enjoyable.

In short: Well organised with friendly atmosphere run on mainly flat scenic lanes with definite potential for a PB.
