In short: Exemplary
In full: Great organisation from the minute you enter. Not as flat as advertised, but good rural traffic free route. Friendly marshalls, and good water/ drink stations.

suffered cramp over last 4 miles which was the only downside as it was going so well to that point.

Highly recommended.

In short: IQ half always delivers
In full: This is my 4th time, on the third course.

Great marshalling and always feel the community is out to support the event. Record numbers this year, but the race still worked.

Loved the IQ band.

In short: Muddier than last year - Great!
In full: My second Slog and enjoyyed it very much. Plenty of the advertised mud, and good conditions for the race. Support for most of the route and great organisation by Bitton.

Seemed harder than last year, maybe the mud slowed me down a little.

In short: Badly organised, not measured and wasted a great venue
In full: I like my half marathons to be 13.1 miles - and to be told at the start it's a little long on a different route to that advertised isn't acceptable.

To use a great locationj and then run for the best part of 6 miles on narrow woodland paths seems a waste of potentially a great venue.

No results posted 24 hours after.

The race is organised by black sheep - presumably for profit. It showed, little attention to detail and poor value.

In short: Challenging course compensated by atmosphere and friendly organisation
In full: This was my first running of the Hilly Half after hearing many good reports. Yes it's tough, but it's also a fair course. Comparatively small field makes it very friendly, with supportive marshalls all the way around. Reasonable support for rural half marathon - held on very quiet lanes. A great antidote to many larger events where the runner comes second.

In short: Glorious summer evening run in spectacular venue.
In full: greta first running of what will hopefully become a fixture in the Cornish running scene.

Organisation good, but a little overwhelmed by turnout, and ran out of 'goodies' for the slower runners.

Great way to spend a summers (yes really) evening in Cornwall.

In short: too expensive and shambolic organisation
In full: By my reckoning the Bath half will have raised approx £450k from the runing community who should feel very badly done by. I'm not sure nationwide will be feeling proud as headline sponsor either. It's inexcusable to delay a race of this status by a hour, not provide full goody bags to all competitors, and leave them in a quagmire. If Bath want a UK premier event they will need to make many changes.

In short: glorious run on the beach - remberance and joy together
In full: First runing of what will hopefully become a fixture in the cornish season. beautiful day, although windy on the outward leg. Open expanse of beach to run on - fantastic!

In short: rain, mud and beer - glorious!
In full: caught in monsoon conditions and heavy traffic an hour before I questioned my sanity for doing the event - but loved it! Who cares about a bit of rain, torrents or water running down tracks and an alarmingly low tunnel. Great fun, looking forward to next year already!

In short: great day - even the weather held off!
In full: Well organised with good field. Organisation faultless.
Route challenging enough to let you know and typical SW finish with a hill.
Looked after runners at end!
Come on 2008!
