In full: One of the best races in the south of England. No doubt the Runners World conclusion will be 'report to moderator' based on the race having zero pb potential as it is off-road with 1500' of climb (Grow up Runners World!). The only report I'll give to the moderator is 'bloody great race, same again next year please'. If you like running on flat roads through boring housing and industrial estates to get that elusive pb this race is not for you. But if you want inspiration from the scenery you're running through give this a go. And there is such a thing as a pb for the course.

In short: Great course, good weather, hard climbs
In full: Excellent race. Although a slow course (pb potential is zero unless it's your first) it never drags because the scenery is uplifting. Just one gripe - the organisers need to decide whether it is a race or a time trial. This year there were only about 25 runners in the mass start for the half marathon. It would be strange if the winner was someone who started half an hour before everyone else that the mass starters had no opportunity to race.

In short: Who can go back to the tarmac after this?
In full: Last ran in 2004 - this time nearly 5 minutes faster, but I don't believe I was running that well. The course has changed a little at the beginning and end compared to 2004. Is it a bit shorter? and is it 13 miles rather than the full half marathon distance?
