In short: A Superb Half Marathon
In full: I have run quite a few half-marathons and swindon is a really good one. It has an even mix of uphill and downhill sections, and some lovely views over the ridgeway. Great countryside, great atmosphere, and very well marshalled. A nice medal at the finish and not too busy like some half marathons can be. A good choice for both novice and expert runner.

In short: Fantastic scenery, race and organisation!
In full: The third race in the series of three races I had ran and just gets better and better. Really good value at £20 for all 3 races and even better when you consider you get chip timing too! Very friendly marshalls, great atmosphere and I even beat my pb too, so a very memorable event and a great winter trail series to do. Would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to do a 15k in a beautiful setting. Will be back!

In short: A fantastic 15k!
In full: This was race number 2 of the series of 3 that I ran, and the organisation was still second to none. I cant wait to come back in feb and run the last race - everyone is so friendly, the scenery is glorious and it great to breath some fresh forest air on the way round! Im suprised there are not more people entering this race - its great value and you get chip timing too. Really good for such a small event...See you in Feb!!

In short: Beautiful Forest Run
In full: I ran this race in January and loved it so much that I decided to come back and do all three races this year as part of the series. The marshalls are very friendly and supportive and its a beautiful run with lots of lovely forest fresh air. Looking forward to running race 2 in January. Great value too and great to have chip timing. See you again soon!

In short: My Favourite Half
In full: I live in Swindon and I am very proud of the local half-marathon. This is the second time I ran it, and this year was just as good as last year. Organised like clock-work, marshalls were ever so friendly and support and atmosphere from everybody was fantastic. Managed to get a pb, not quite sure how - but this made it even more memorable (although my calf muscles are still aching 4 days later!) The course itself is an even spread of uphill, down and flat; and although it is definetly challenging its nice to run a half that hasnt become to 'big' yet. Well done again Swindon, will be back to run this again and again!

In short: A good day out for all the family...
In full: This was my 4th 10k race and i was hoping to dip below 50 minutes for the first time. However the heat probably took its toll on quite a few of us and i couldnt get under 51 mins! All the moans and groans of other runners aside, wouldnt life be boring if everthing was perfect all the time?!? The heat was all part of the challenge, so too was the incline on mile 3 and 6 of the two laps. I have been to far worse organised 10k's and after all races have to grow from somewhere initially. This course has real pb potential but i feel others perhaps like myself need to do some more running in hot conditions to have a chance at cracking those much sought after better times!! I have unfinished business here and will be back next year to get that pb!! The stalls and fete after the event were great. Nice to have a flapjack and a pint of 'black rat' to aid the post-run recovery. Thanks Keevil and see you all next year!

In short: Great race, Great City, Great day out!!
In full: This was the first time I had ran the bath half - and I was really impressed. I was worried that because there were so many runners we would get really penned in at the start, but the race start was smooth and I was soon able to get into my own pace. I had ran more small scale halfs before so I was very pleased by the overall organisation. The crowds were great, marshalls friendly and bath is a lovely city to visit. To answer some of peoples previous moans: my garmin forerunner also measured 13.33 miles but what people need to understand is that courses are measured around the absolute shortest point - i.e unless you are running on the inside lane and tightest to all the corners all the way round your gps will always measure it longer. You would also not overtake any other people or side step to the left or right to avoid people. Modern gps systems pick all that side movement and zig-zaging up. Once you've ran more races with them on you'll notice it happens all the time. It was a good, fast course - managed a pb so was very pleased indeed! I ran the swindon half last october and that was really hilly, so it was nice to run a flat one!! See you next year Bath!

In short: A good local race...
In full: I was pleased with the first Devizes 10k. It was a well-balanced course with even ups and downs and was well marshalled. Enjoyed the weather - after all a nice drop of rain and wind makes it a bit more of a challenge doesn't it? Managed to shave a minute off my pb too - although I do tend to run a lot of hilly 10k's! Thanks for the banana at the end. Overall a good value race - well done devizes!!

In short: Nice race - a bit overpriced...
In full: Having grown up in the westbury/warminster area,I was looking forward to coming back here to run Longleat as I live in Swindon now. I thought it was a well balanced race with an even amount of uphill, downhill and flat sections, and for me was very memorable as I completed my 1st 10k in under an hour - getting my pb down to 52mins. I'd like to thank the 70 year old bloke who went past with the funny t-shirt on (he made me dig deep when I was feeling completely knacked on the last hill). Also the guy on the mike at the end was really encouraging. I really enjoyed the course and scenery - but does it really justify paying twice what you would for any other 10k race??

In short: Really good race - if you enjoy forest trails you should do it!
In full: Good atmosphere from all here - good range of abilities too. The forest trail is well balanced with a gradual incline at the start then declining over the last half of the first lap. Then repeat 3 times if you are doing the 15.4k as I did!
Runners were very friendly and it was nice to have that 'feel good' factor on one of the smaller races. Excellent value for money - £7 and you get a tasty medal! Good scenery, friendly marshalls and fresh air running at its best. Will be back later in the year to do the 3 race series! Smashing lovely great!!
