In short: Not much the organisers could do about the weather, but baggage needs work.
In full: Due to the weather the last 6 miles must have been about the hardest I have had to run. The course is pretty good and PB potential with pleasant residential areas and a country section, unfortunately the weather made this rather hard going. Obviously the baggage storage and reclaim needs looking at but as the organisers have already apologised and will address this for next year I imagine it will sorted. This was the only let down in the organisation. I have seen complaints that it is a rip off but for a traffic race in a big city I think it is fair, check out Brighton if you want an expensive marathon.

In short: Fantastic scenery & organisation. Lots of tough hills.
In full: A hard but excellent race surrounded by glorious views whichever way you looked. The organisation of the day could not be faulted from start to finish.

In short: Challenging but enjoyable. Well done HRR.
In full: The organisation from start to finish was spot on. The course was lovely with a support at quite a few places the whole way round. Best have a word with the council to see if they can flatten out some of those hills by next year.

In short: A fast time is possible but just a really boring course.
In full: The course was pretty flat, but running through residential streets and along the seafront twice made for a pretty dull race. Meeting runners coming in the other direction on the same side of the road, although not intended by the orgainsers was ridiculous.

In short: Great local race, will definately be back
In full: Although you can lose count of hills as you go round I can thoroughly recommed this race to anybody. The friendly atmosphere makes it a race that I will keep visiting.

In short: Excellent course, will definately do it again.
In full: The race was well organised from start to finish, i did not have to wait for water. As the large majority of people are local you could possibly pull the start time forward to 10am to avoid the warmer part of the day, just a thought.

In short: Hard race in warm weather, but will definately be back.
In full: Very welcoming atmosphere. The race had some tough hills in it, especially at the end. I will happily be back again next year.

In short: First run here, but certainly not the last.
In full: The only thing that the organisers did not arrange properly was the weather, but even this did not stop it being an enjoyable event. Will be back to try and beat my PB again next year.

In short: Good for a PB, excellent marshalling.
In full: Could not find a fault with the race, the marshalling was excellent and very supportive. A slight problem at the start and end was that the HQ hall seemed a bit cramped for the number of runners, I guess a drawback for being so popular. Certainly this one minor thing would not stop me coming back again next year.
