In short: Well done - and thanks to Zoom Tri for a great run In full: Superbly organised, loads of friendly efficient marshalls - busy crossings dealt with professionally and safely. Lots of toilets, so quick queues. Well done all involved and see you next year. Date of review: March 14, 2010
In short: WELL DONE! - Fab marshalling and organisation In full: In so far as one can own up to enjoying a 20 mile road race of 2 laps - I did! Huge well done to Ashley at Zoom Tri for such a successfull event - one little thing - would it be possible to have girls t shirts next year - I got small and its rather large! In short: expensive run around a car park, no goody bag as advertised In full: This race was advertised as a run around the race course, it was'nt, we ran mainly round the car park and on single track paths where the dividing ribbon had come off and people were tripping - 3 laps of that. Good bags were apparently supposed to be included but there were none, - very expensive (£17 online) although that included show entry (£8.25 in advance) - not worth the trouble. In short: Absolutely freezing! Huge well done to volunteers in that cold In full: Its hilly and cold - as always, well organised and lots of helpers who braved the artic conditions to look after us. Much appreciated - See you next year! Date of review: February 1, 2009
In short: What happened to the T Shirts?! In full: Tough race, well run - until the end when they had no T shirts for us except extra large - despite having entered in plenty of time and ordering my size and paying for it!!Think there were lots of complaints - needs sorting guys please. In short: sorry but its an accident waiting to happen. In full: Somehow lost the 30k way and ended up on the 40k - not a big prob but people were getting lost everywhere. often ended up running alone with no markers - they do provide a map but I can't see print without glasses and others said it was not easy to follow. Very busy roads to cross and numerous near misses - so bad that my boyfriend waited at one crossing near the end to help slow traffic after he finished he was so worried.
it is a lovely run and if you do it with someone else so you're not alone, be aware that there are no marshalls, take it slowly and enjoy it as a day out then its fine - but us runners don't so my opinion is that its unsafe as it is at the moment. Date of review: August 12, 2008
In short: Absolutely gr8!! get up those hills & enjoy! In full: As last year I loved it gr8 water stations and lovely cool sponges especially welcome. Only mini fault - when the prizes were awarded the times were'nt always given, plase can you say all the times next year? I like to know what to aim for in my category. Well done Swanage see you next year! Date of review: July 30, 2008
