In short: Nice course
In full: thought it was a nice course and a great run for locals, with superb route markings and really friendly organisers..... but not enough competitors to make me come back.

In short: Fun in the Mud
In full: Dissapointing that there was no water at the second station, no catering and they were packing up pretty sharp at the end (and i wasnt the slowest)but despite these I loved the whole damn thing. Never thoughtI would stop in a run with 3 other guys to dig someone out of a bog with our bare hands. When i got through the bog the buggers put in the hill which having got up and down, they made us go back up the damn thingagain. Great feeling of achievment to actually survive and never really worried about the loss of feelings in my legs. Brilliant day. Thank you.

In short: Enjoyable except for the cars
In full: Enjoyed the run and actually did a PB despite the hills. Got annoyed with the cars and found myself breathing in petrol fumes at times but second half of course really nice

In short: Getting Close to becoming a great race
In full: The course is flat which is good for slower runners like me. Had 3 minor issues which were 1- Took a long time to get parked when there was plenty of space, 2- The cross over of runners which was silly, and 3- The imnformation signs being the same colour as the mile signs (thought the sign I could see in the distance was another mile chalked off but wasn't). Apart from that it was a great run. Marshalls were superb, encouraging everyone and smiling, loads of spectators, plenty of water, a kiss from the lady mayoress at the end, and it was quicjk to get away from. Well done Organisers

In short: Good Day out
In full: It was a gloriously sunny day and it was so nice to see that the organisers had learnt the lessons from last years problems. A great run on a flat course with 2600 runners of all capabilities. Well done to all those who organised this event and took part.

In short: Freezing Cold
In full: Second time I've done it and it is definately easier when warm. First time I have run in a woolly hat and gloves but boy am I glad I did. Still well organised and worthwhile. I will be back.

In short: Great Course but Oh Dear....
In full: The course was great on a nice sunny day running along the seafront. HOWEVER...... I could bear the lack of an official start point to set my watch and I could bear the lack of audible support from the crowd. I could also bear the lack of drinking cups at the sole water station as sharing was the order of the day, but what I cant bear is a total lack of a finish line. The feeling of crossing the line always makes the effort worthwhile but I didnt have a clue what was going on when I turned into the park, what a shambles. Eventually I found my way in to the funnel just to give in my tear off slip from my number. I couldnt be bothered to queue up for the Tshirt. I will be back, but only because it is local. It really wouldnt take much to make this a great event but lessons need to be learnt.

In short: Give me the sun on your back and lovely scenery any day
In full: Spending 3 hours to get there the 1pm start time is fine. Heat is so much better than watching your breath freeze in front of you (Silverstone!) 0 - 8 miles was great. The scenery was fantastic, I was chatting to people and the downhills gave a nice break. Then I met the hills from 8 - 11 miles but they were largely in the shade and as a 46 year old novice I managed to carry on running with the support of my more experienced colleague. The last mile was the toughest as I could see the finish line but am sure someone was moving it. It just never seemed to get closer. I loved the race and will definately be there next year.
