In short: Great race, great scenery. In full: Great race with a good and challenging scenic course. Really nice to mix up the country lanes and gravel paths. Also a nice downhill stretch before the finish to pick up some time. Well organised and very enjoyable. Date of review: July 2, 2012

In short: Good race on a flat course. Multi lap course detracts. In full: I enjoyed the race though I'm not sure about the PB potential of this one. Even though it's flat the laps make it a little bit tedious and the weather made it a challenge. Still it made a change to run in the sunshine and not the rain. The water stations and sponges are plentiful and very welcoming. The organisation and marshalls are very good. The only downside was that the parking seemed very disorganised and there was a real bottlenck getting out with parked cars blocking the exit. Date of review: June 13, 2012

In short: Very Much Improved In full: Very much improved on the 2010 race. The car parking filled up early but was well controlled. The race start and end on the track was good. Cross over points on the roads were very well marshalled. It's not the most scenic of routes but the undulating hills makes it a reasonable challenge especially as there are two large laps. A 9am start is also a good feature of this race. The introduction of chip timing was also an improvement on last year when the timings seemed a little out.
The race organisor had definitely taken onboard comments from last year so well done to the organisor and marshalls. Date of review: February 28, 2011

In short: Shambolic organisation. Only worth doing as a training run. In full: Shambolic organisation at the start, there didn't appear to be anyone to guide runners off the race track and out to the road. The toliets were a joke and there was no warning that the race was about to start.
Boring, boring course - 2 and a bit laps of dull townscape. Several sections where you have to cross roads and negotiate traffic, not great.
The only positive with this race is that it's a challenging course which is good as a training run. Date of review: March 1, 2010
