In short: Cardiac hill indeed! Excellent organisation and delivered with a huge smile.
In full: A very testing course, steep hills up and down, kissing gates and how many stiles? not often you see "drop out zones" but running as it should be. Glorious scenery over open fields with poppies and crops, past cricket pitches in the middle of nowhere, golf courses, through apple orchards, churchyards with cobbles?, up and down wooded trails and past picturesque villages and pubs. The weather was very kind to us today thankfully but a spectacular 30k course. The organisation was faultless from course marking to wonderfully cheery marshals, superb feeding stations with isotonic drinks, gels, jelly babies, water and sponges. The finish was an event in itself... medal(super) t-shirt (technical) apple, banana, water, home baked cake....live music and finally sunshine!
A huge thank you to all involved in organising and making this such an enjoyable event. A credit to you all. I came up from Winchester today on the recommendation from others that this was a great race and so glad I did! Now..
all I need are some new legs! See you next year.

In short: A trial of endurance........
In full: A race must for anyone aspiring to be a trail runner, even for a day! The course is set in beautiful country with enough undulations and narrow trails to satisfy anyone looking for a challenging test over varied terrain. The recent rains made for a muddier course this year, with some of the descents a really slippery affair...ouch, but the views on top were well worth it. The organisation by Liss was again first class, with very clear signage around the course and excellent marshalling. The event felt low key and friendly with tea and cakes, but ran like clockwork. Well done to all involved. I have to admit I was glad to finish this year, running 14 minutes slower than last year, with a mile less to run?!!! However, will be back next year to try again.
Thanks again everyone for a great race.

In short: Well done Portsmouth........gem of a midweek xcountry race.
In full: A super course, challenging at the start, with a fair mix of paths through the woods. Extremely friendly and efficient organisation with good signage and encouraging marshals. Good mix of runners and a lovely local feel on a sunny summers evening. Another nice memento this year and will definately be back for the 3rd time next year. Well done to all involved, an enjoyable race. Thank you.

In short: Well done Salisbury, a lovely race
In full: A wonderful course with great views along the Avon. Blustery day with a few inclines to keep one focussed! Great organisation with 4 water stations, which really helps. Helpful and positive marshalls make such a difference and the finish was a nice touch. Thanks to all concerned.

In short: Fast and furious..
In full: The weather was so kind to us this year. Cold crisp day..and no wind! definite PB opportunity.
Fast course, with great turnout from the clubs in the area which made for a competitive feel to the race and a desire to run well. Well organised, efficient marshalls, nice atmosphere. Well done to all involved.

In short: The essence isn't in the victory...it's in the struggle!
In full: A very special race. A huge challenge for an ageing roadrunner, but so much fun and camaraderie, it made me smile when the going seemed impossible. At the end I looked like a monster from the bogs, but what an enjoyable run. The organisation was superb, from start to finish. The course set up, the marshalls, the water station, and the friendly "advice" in the x zone. I think the guy on the microphone before the start summed up the race perfectly..... wet, cold, slippy, hilly and very, very, muddy, perfect for you nutters!!
Thanks again to everyone involved. Will be back next year for sure!

In short: Organised by runners for runners. Well done.
In full: Superb organisation, even down to the welcome and encouragement of the starter.
Everybody did their bit with a smile and cool efficiency, from marshalls at the car park to the lady who insisted I have a Mars bar at the end! I find 2 laps still manages to seemingly produce steeper inclines/declines in the 2nd loop, even in the fnishing field, but what the heck.... beat last years time and hope to again next year. Thanks everyone involved for a great race.

In short: Not a walk in the park.......more a tough run in the woods!
In full: Charming venue. Friendly folks. When the starter says you will be shot if you drop out, then you know you are in for a special race! Tough course but what a great off road half. The views are superb, the marshalls so positive, the water stations so welcoming and the overall organisation brilliant. Mind you my glutes felt like someone had used them for a punchbag, and today my quads are somewhat challenged. Well done everyone, I had an enjoyable day. I for one will be back next year.

In short: Well done Hogweeds for a superb race.
In full: Great organisation, like clockwork. Super friendly marshalls, feeding station volunteers and spectators. The baggage and refreshment organisation was a credit to you. A tough course with great views from the top....loved it. Back next year. Thanks to all.
