In short: Great first time race from Droitwich AC
In full: This was a very local race so never had a problem in parking like others and didn't turn up till 11.35am as knew the area and we were straight in and parked! The course was fab, which is just what I am used to running around Bromsgrove and Droitwich! Perfect! Clubhouse was very friendly and the sandwich after was a great little touch! The goody bag was good and it's good to have a ladies t-shirt rather than the normal men's XL!!!
The only gripe I have is we could of done with perhaps 1 more waterstation?? But a perfect race and a BIG WELL DONE to everyone involved!! Will definitely be back next year!!

In short: 2nd time of running this event - still enjoyed it!!
In full: Great race (even though I did my PW!!) still enjoyed it. The only thing I thought was not good was the amount of water in cups!! It certainly was not enough - an inch in the bottom on a very very hot day did not keep my hydrated!! Needed more in the cup - at least then you can walk and drink it!! Really liked the goodie bag - lots of sweets etc.... better than a t-shirt that is always far too large!

In short: 100% than 2 years ago!
In full: Did this race 2 yrs ago - which I must say 2:09 didnot organise very well at all!!! This time - they got nearly everything right! I really enjoyed this race - the scenery was far better, some of the lanes were closed to traffic this time (weaving around traffic is not good!). The only problem I had was at the end - where was the recovery drink / food?? At least a banana could have been provided or even a recovery shake! The school bar was not appealing - this is what I give my 7 & 5 yr old for school!! Not asking for a goodie bag as these annoy me with the junk in them - but better recovery provisions next year, please. Will certainly be back!!

In short: Well marshalled, and great run.
In full: Extremely easy to park here! Not sure about the issue with the pens as no-one ever adheres to them anyway!! I get sick of overtaking plodders!! Very well marashalled! Cups are an issue, but does keep cost down. I enjoyed it, but not sure about running right next to coach on a main road - This does really annoy me! Apart from that - a good race!

In short: Too many runners!!
In full: Far too many runners!! Not sure if they lied on their form, but I overtook thousands of people and I was only in green!! Too congested in getting to the start line. More toilets were needed for ladies - the "extra toilets" they provided seemed to be only for men - I found this out after queueing for 10mins, so I had to go and queue again!!!!
Finish was ok for me as I was near the top, so I did get the foil and no congestion at the end. Liked the t-shirt and good to have different sizes - not like FLM or Silverstone where everyone has XXL!! Agree on the food in the bag - needed a snack!! I will probably not be back as I found this too big for me! Glad I tried it though!

In short: Really good local race! Will defintely be back!!
In full: Enjoyed running in a big race so close to home! Needs better organisation at start - to ensure people are in the correct colours!! I started nearer the front than I should have done - only because I could not see the end and I was actually fine where I was - not overtaken a great deal, but over took lots! and gained a PB in 1:48! Last mile tough! Water & sports drinks could have been spaced out a little more evenly though. Apart from that - Fantastic!!

In short: Great race along the towpath!! Well organised!!
In full: This was a nice run along the canal towpath. I liked the start - on your own. Never done this before, but I personally didn't have a problem with that - as I had an i-pod, thankfully, otherwise it could get quite lonely out there. Drink station fine with a few SIS inbetween! Great! The only problem I found was that there was no real countdown at the end and it was too late for a sprint when I got round the bend and the finish was there!!

In short: Great local race!! Worth giving it a go!!
In full: Started on time - which is fantastic!!! Very well organised! The water station was fine where it was - twice round the loop! Great atmosphere finishing in the park - it kept family entertained whilst waiting! Great! Thanks to everyone involved!

In short: Good organisation. Lots of water / Lucozade Sport drinks!
In full: The baggage was excellent - I only arrived back at the pits and a man was already there with my bag!! Plenty to drink, but just wish they had told you they were spread out as I nearly got knocked over a couple of times to try and get the the drinks from the first few tables by other runners! My only disappointment was the delay at the start - why do they do this!!??? It really annoys me!! Not bothered about the poor scenery as this was expected - what else do you expect around Silverstone track!? - trees and countryside?? Very windy on the day and not as flat as I expected - but did do a PB of 1:49!

In short: Excellent organisation - but NEED MORE LOO'S!!
In full: This was a very good race! Well organised - chips sent out in the post. Plenty of drinks along route and at the end - even free "For Goodness Shakes"!! Well marshalled and very polite! The only gripe I have is there certainly were not enough toilets!!! The queue for the toilets hurrendous - I ended up running back into the town centre!! Apart from that I will be back next year!! With hopefully more loo's!!
