In short: Enjoyable city run
In full: Plus points:
* Easy to get changed, bag storage useful
* Great to start finish at stadium
* Easy parking, providing you arrive in good time.
* Good support from Sheffield folk, especially Eccy Road.
* Nice to have a medal.

Niggles:

* Would have liked an energy drink at one of the stops. Also would prefer bottled water.
* A bit expensive, though don't mind if profits go to charity. Couldn't find Red Bull that folks were talking about afterwards!

In short: Nice friendly race with PB potential
In full: Really enjoyed this one - and got a PB and sub-60 min time at last :-) Friendly marshalls, good distance markers, not too difficult course. Good to have bottled water on the course, with sports caps rather than screw tops. Could have done with more ladies' loos!

In short: A lovely change from road races
In full: Quite a tough course, lots of mud to add interest (!), but great fun. Marshalls were friendly. Nice and welcoming event for families. Could have done with more portaloos! Like the mug - nice change from a T-shirt.

In short: Very good race - highly recommended
In full: Good course with a few hills for interest (!); friendly & encouraging marshalls; good facilities (e.g. bag storage, water/energy drinks stations; wet sponges - great idea!). Car parking could be tricky - I was lucky to be dropped off, but did see quite a long queue. Hope this race is on again next year as I would definitely do it again.

In short: Fab race - highly recommended
In full: Well organised, easy parking, very pleasant run overall. Really like the mug - agree that it makes a lovely change from a T-shirt, though I did purchase a T-shirt as well as I liked the design and it was available in a good range of sizes. (Even my daughter thought it was 'cool'!).

In short: Worth putting in your calendar.
In full: * OK, scenery not great - but I don't worry about that in races to be honest!
* Smooth start, clear instructions, good to see Mike Tomlinson running, and Stephen starting the race.
* Nice to have Sports Centre facilities available to use.
* Good T-shirt, in a range of sizes.
* PB potential, if you're prepared for the slight incline in the first half. Great coming back though!

In short: Excellent - A+ race
In full: Good, easy parking.
Superb organisation right through, and nice friendly marshalls.
Nice flat course.
Very smart and comfy sweatshirt, in the right sizes.
They even got the weather right ;-)

Well done Knavesmire Harriers!

In short: Good all-rounder
In full: A great confidence booster for slower runners - I got a pb! On the whole, well organised and no problems with congestion - start and finish point was fine. Great to have a race for which there is easy/free parking. Entry cost is a bit steep, but don't mind if profits go to Help the Aged. Nice T-shirt, and pleased to see that they hadn't run out of small ones, which often happens by the time slower runners get to the finish.

In short: A 'must do' for any runner
In full: Atmosphere really makes the day. Scenery isn't great, apart from mile 11 when you first see the sea at the top of the hill - fantastic! Helps if you start in the right pen - I did, and got the time I wanted. I know I'm not fast so was quite happy in the second last Pink zone, and had no big problems as I went mostly at what better runners would probably call jogging pace :-)

Start was better than I had anticipated - thought we wouldn't be off until 11.36, but it was quite a bit earlier than that.

Great medal and T-shirt, but would have liked something a bit more substantial to eat in the goody bag!

In short: Great warm up for the GNR (especially for a first timer)
In full: Nice friendly marshalls, with enough water, and the sponge station around 8 miles was a great idea. I rated '2: aggressive' for PB potential as I've not done a 10 mile before, so did find those last couple of hills a bit tough - more experienced runners would manage it a lot easier I guess. It was just about right for me - flat to start with, with a nice challenge towards the end. I like the mug (better than an XL T-shirt, which we slower runners always seem to get left with) - have already had 2 cups of tea in it!
