In short: A wonderful experience In full: Second outing for me at London and no less special. The atmosphere and the support was once again incredible. I've got to agree with other comments though that people should be prevented from jumping pens at the start. i started in the 'correct' pen for my bib but soon found I was actually with largely much slower runners and almost everyone who should've been in my pen had started further ahead. This leads to much frustration as you dodge round the slower runners. Also, more emphasis needed on the green credentials! There was an awful lot of waste, one gulp of water and throw the bottle away? What's wrong with carrying the round until they're empty? Date of review: April 28, 2010

In short: Mud, glorious mud... In full: A very muddy course no doubt helped along by the thawed snow and heavy rain the day before. A killer race when you didn't do as much training over Christmas as you should have! Date of review: January 17, 2010

In short: A gem of a race In full: Well organised, well marshalled, and a great atmosphere, despite the long long slog to the top. It's worth the effort for the view at the top and the exhilarating run back down. Nice tea and food afterwards. I love a race with cake at the end! Thanks to Greg and all the team Date of review: August 31, 2009

In short: A well organised gem of a race In full: My first time running this one and I'll most likely be back next year. The mars bar in the goody bag made the slog worthwhile! Date of review: August 25, 2009

In short: Fabulous scenery / killer hill! In full: My first time running this race and I was really impressed by the smooth organisation and the friendly marshalls. Probably helped along by the glorious weather (but thankfully not too hot) and the amazing scenery! Date of review: March 22, 2009

In short: A lovely race - made tough by the terrible weather! In full: I could have done without the hailstones in my face at about mile five accompanied by heavy rain but the blustery winds were definitely the worst element, nearly taking me off my feet several times and making the last few miles back along the headland really tough. The organisation overall was fabulous- it's just a shame they can't control the weather! Many thanks to all who came out to marshall etc Date of review: March 8, 2009

In short: Well organised - a good race In full: I liked the hand warmer in the goody bag but not sure about the hat! A well organised 10 miler which has PB potential due to it's relative flatness for South Wales. Date of review: February 22, 2009

In short: Without a doubt the best race of the entire year In full: I always look forward to this one and with good reason. Despite a freezing cold plunge up to the neck at one point, so much fun battling through the mud and the water, cheered on by the friendly spectators. Bitten Road Runners have covered all the little touches that make a difference (jelly babies!) and the organisation is top notch. Leave your watch at home for this race (the mud would ruin it anyway!) and just enjoy the experience as the waits at the obstacles will slow you down no end. Just one tiny niggle in that in the hurry not to have runners in the road too long at the start, the klaxon went off and some of us were still making our way out of the school gate to the road (the narrowing of the gate acted as a funnel & slowed the crowd down). Just a couple more minutes would have done it! Other than that, see you again next year! Date of review: November 9, 2008

In short: A nice race despite a few niggles In full: A pretty nice, fairly well organised race. I'm afraid I'm going to reiterate many others when I say that it was too narrow in places which caused congestion, I found the course a little too 'twisty and turny'(shame about the barrage), and for goodness sake please stop making us run over the grasscrete! Please cover it if we must run along there next year. I kind of missed the stadium finish too. On the upside, the pacers were great, the goody bags were nice (the towel), and the loos were adequate, for a change! The organisers would do well to keep the spectators away from the chip bins too as the finish was quite congested- the finishers' funnel could be made a bit longer to compensate? Lastly, not contained to this race by any means, but I got a bit annoyed by all the MP3 users who insisted on trying to do me an injury by stopping suddenly in front of me while they fiddled around with them!
