In short: What a weekend!!!
In full: I am relatively new to ultras and have never done a back to back run of this magnitude,so i have woken this morning to aches and pains i have never felt before, but they are nice pains. the race itself was a challenge and i salute all the proper runners along way ahead of me youre ability never ceases to amaze me. thanks to my running partner Jamiele who was a great motivation on sunday(we did it mate) and to all the crew on the checkpoints and to Rory and Jen thanks again. (new measuring wheel is on its way Rory)

In short: Nothing happened!!!!
In full: Having driven down from west yorkshire,Paid to stay in a hotel,up early for breakfast got to the race start preped and ready to go You would have thought Luton Council Event organisers and the police would have been able to have arranged for a gritter to have been around the route last night and possibly this morning. The forecasters for once got the weather correct and predicted a sub zero night and early morning. I appreciate there was an accident and I hope no one was injured but I cant help think with hyndsight this could have been prevented. Must Try Harder

In short: Im sure at one stage I saw dorothy from the Wizard of oz!!!
In full: Yes it was that windy! I was unsure at first about the three lap format but it worked well. Marshalls encouraged all the way round despite being like drowned Rats.Nice to see the winners flying past on lap two. (freaks of nature if you ask me) well done Luton.Worth the 300 mile round trip from wakefield.

In short: Good venue for bog snorkelling!!!!
In full: Poor organisation at the start. Terrible course markings. little interest from marshalls. If your idea of fun is to ride a bike slowly through mud then this is the event for you. Sadly for me it wasn't my idea of fun and I took my bat and ball home after the first lap. At least I have a free weekend next year.
