In short: "The course is completely on tarmac" apart from the bits on grass...
In full: Not as fast as the organisers make out. Not sure how they can say it's all on tarmac when the start and (awful) finish are on grass. The two miles on tow path slow it down a bit as well. I think it was also a bit long, either that or difficult to run an efficient race line because of all the turns.

In short: Advertised as flat - it's definitely not! But very scenic.

In short: Flat but so windy not really a race
In full: Would be a good course with no wind, but so exposed that with the 20mph wind it was very hard work and very slow.

In short: Love this race - v fast, excellent organisation, great atmosphere
In full: The course is really fast, markings were very clear, the starting zones this year worked really well - no issues with crowding at all.
Given the massive number of people the organisation is brilliant. This manages to have the atmosphere of a huge race, but without the organisational problems that often come with that! Great race for a PB - and good for serious runners or beginners. Will definitely be back again next year.

In short: So disorganised I could not find the 5k and had to do the 10k!
In full: The wrong tube stations were put on the website for the 5k start, none of the marshalls even knew there was a 5k, and then directed me to the 10k baggage. By this time I had missed the race! They let me run the 10k instead - no starting zones, no timing (for a £30 race can they not provide chips?!), medals had not been provided to all baggage stations where they were being given out and they were certainly going to run out...
Worst organised race I've ever done. It's big, but not big enough for that to be an excuse.
On the plus side, very friendly crowd!

In short: Gorgeous day and PB so cannot complain!
In full: I agree the course was short, but only very slighly so was ok. I thought the organisation fine and everyone friendly. I didn't mind paying £20 as for a vey good cause, but is v. expensive for a race that is low budget/ profile. I like laps so really liked the course.
Just two criticisms - I thought I had pobably finished in the top 10 (which only happens in lower profile races!) so wanted to see my placing, but the results were up by surname so no way to tell where you came. Secondly, there was no way to tell (as far as I could see) whether people had done one, two or three laps when they finished!
