In short: An enjoyable slippery-slidey mudfest! In full: Despite the tricky conditions, wind, rain and a steep hill or two I had a great time. Lovely setting for a race and although I spent most of it slipping and sliding about it was very rewarding. Good to be able to use the changing rooms and showers in the leisure centre without charge and thanks to the nice ladies in the baggage room and a mention also to the chip removers having to deal with all those muddy feet! In short: Enjoyable race despite the icy wind In full: Very friendly and well organised race which was well marshalled . Condsidering it all takes place on the suburban pavements the route has been well worked out and was bang on 10 miles. The 6 mile marker was in the incorrect place though and showed up at 5.5 miles. Didn't think I was that fast! Good to have the warmth of the school to use before and after and coffee and cake is always a winner.

In short: Lovely scenic route In full: Very pleasant setting for a race and I'm sure there will be a bigger turnout next year as word gets round. Think a shoe timing-chip would be better than the dibbing system used as it meant having to stop dead or slow down as you reached the finish line otherwise you would overshoot it, which is what I did, then couldn't line up my finger with the hole properly and resulted in the guy behind me getting a quicker time! In short: Very well organised and friendly race In full: Well done to all involved in putting this race together. Nice 10k around the country lanes of Sittingbourne although you had to keep your wits about you with the traffic. Marshals at various points round the course doing a good job of warning the drivers that there were runners around. Not a huge amount of support around the course but a thanks to the group of people at the 8k mark clapping us all as we ran past. Excellent spread of cakes at the end which always helps! Would definitely recommend and do this race again. Date of review: May 20, 2012

In short: Excellent and well organised race In full: What a perfect way to spend a sunny Sunday morning. Although the route was shared with the Sunday walkers, cyclists etc I din't have any problems with anyone getting in the way. Very impressed with the way the whole event was organised and liked the Diamond Jubilee themed medal at the end. Well done to everyone involved! Date of review: March 13, 2012

In short: Lovely route, real test of endurance in the heat In full: Great, scenic course through lovely countryside. Thanks a lot to the couple after 2 miles or so with the makeshift shower at the side of the road! Race HQ was in a lovely setting and the shade of the trees was a very welcome relief after the race. Couldn't fault the organisation and thanks a lot to the Scottish guy that rescued me from the A274 on the way there and gave me a lift! Date of review: June 28, 2010

In short: Perfect running conditions! In full: A big ding-dong to the bell-ringer at the 6/16 mile point. Fantastic route with lovely scenery. Marshals and locals very supportive, even the local farm animals were making encouraging noises on the way round! Date of review: March 15, 2010
