In short: Amazing!
In full: Brilliant day, fantastic, got a PB and managed a sub 4.30 which was my goal. The crowds are amazing and the noise of the cheering is something else. Going over Tower Bridge was the highlight for me to think that I, little old me, competed in a race with the best runners in the world!

In short: Fast, Flat and Organised
In full: Fast, flat course, although rather dull the PB potential makes this a winner. Organisation was fantastic, the marshalls friendly and supportive and I managed a magnificant 25 mins of my previous 1/2 marathon PB so I'm not complaining!!!

In short: Good PB Potential
In full: Although this race is good for a PB as it has grown the organisation has suffered. The non-club marshalls i.e. bouncers were rude, very aggressive and totally unhelpful. At one point they threatened my wife with the police for crossing between barriers, this is meant to be a run for a charity it is not a demonstration where people need to be corralled and controlled.

In short: A great race in a lovely village
In full: Second time i've done this race and managed to knock 5 mins of last year's time. Its a great race really friendly with a good mixture of club and non-club runners. The village is so attractive and you finish on the village green. Didn't remeber the hills from last year, not sure where they came from!!

In short: Now the "big hill" has gone a fast race with excellent PB potential
In full: Much faster race now the big hill has gone and for once not a baking hot day so real PB potential - personally I knocked 9 mins off last year's time and 5 mins off my previous PB!

In short: Great supporters, horrendous organisation
In full: This was my first marathon and I am just glad I put in as much training as I did as it was jolly hard work in the heat and with the water situtation.

In short: Hills, Hills and a nice long flat canal side!
In full: It might look like a nice ramble through the woods and accross the moor, but its hard work! The marshalls were great especially those at the water station at 8.5 miles!

In short: Dull!
In full: I don't know why I keep doing this race, it is dull, congested at the start the only good thing is it is flat and fast. It was a cold day and ideal for running but it still doesn't lift the spirits.

In short: 2nd year and will be coming back for more!
In full: Fantastic race, hilly but well worth it for the scenery, the wonderful marshalls and the goody bag, which has to be the best in the region if not the country! T-shirt is brilliant to. Managed to knock 5 mins of last year's time, so a well happy bunny!

In short: Apart form the "water feature" good race
In full: All going well until the rather deep puddle, rather wished I hadn't been wearing newish trainers - got a PB though so well chuffed!
