In short: Superb race, friendly, challenging, fun and brilliant for the whole family
In full: I did this race last year and did not hesitate on coming back. I live locally so it was easy to walk to the race. This is a race for the whole family. The race itself is scenic and challenging with a few gates and bridges over the river. Lovely views as you run out along the river and back. Organisation is superb and while I was out running the kids had their own race getting their own medals and T-shirts and then had a game of football with some other kids so really was a family occassion. The BBQ was nice afterwards as well so it really made the whole event a great occassion. Marshalls were brilliant and really encouraging. Certainly one for the yearly calendar. Well done Purple Patch, all for a great cause as well.

In short: I might be sadistic but the rain made this tough race even more fun
In full: Great race. Flooded lanes, steep uphills and downhills made the sense of achievement at completing this race enourmous. Great organisation from the marlow striders considering the weather and postal strike. Great marshalls. Fantastic support from them. All in all a great race.

In short: Superb organisation, great location, very worthy cause. Well done PP
In full: A great first race by PP this one. Organisation was superb. The route was glorious, along the Thames and back with great marshalls who really were the best I've seen at races. The band at the pub was a great touch. Also really nice to have the kids race while the HM was going on. My 3 kids loved that and even they got a T-shirt and medal the same as the HM runners. Made their day! Well done PP for a great run. Beautiful location.

In short: Beautiful scenery, very friendly, very hilly as in the name!
In full: Great first race for Frieth. Really well organized race which catered very well for the runners and the spectators with good facilities and bacon sarnies for the spectators. Very hilly and the last hill to the finish was tough. Really nice scenery and a great Sunday morning run. Great value for money and can see this one becoming a yearly event. Well done the volunteers and marshalls who were all very encouraging and all did an excellent job.

In short: Beautiful scenery, very friendly
In full: Great small local race for me. Really friendly organizers and it was well organized as well. Nice and flat first half and then some good challenging hills second half. Stunning views and the weather made it perfect. Not too many marshals due to the size of the race but loads of arrows to follow which made it all the more fun.

In short: Excellent local race for me. Well organized and good support
In full: Fantastic weather for spectators. Bit hot for runners but a good run. Very well organized and the T-shirt and medal are fab and the entry prices is great for such a good race and goody bag. Bit congested at the start but a great race none the less.

In short: Good prep for London to experience large race. Sorry to hear about people not getting medals.
In full: 2nd Reading 1/2. Good experience for 1st London Marathon in 6 weeks because of the large crowded race and thought it was well organized from where I was but if people didn't receive energy drinks, goody bags and medals then that is disgraceful. Hope organizers make up more medals to post to people that missed out but at the end of a gruelling run the medal is what you need most so dissapointed to hear some missed out. Great support round the university and in town. Bit sparse down towards stadium but fantastic finish. Traffic not a problem as I work and parked in Green Park.

In short: Great fun just a shame about the weather
In full: Very good value. A santa suit and a medal in the entry price. Good fun run. 500 santas running through Marlow made a great sight. Shame about the weather but overall a great fun run.

In short: Fantastic inaugural race for purple patch.
In full: Great run. Well done for the constant updates on conditions and whether the race was actually going to go ahead and managing to change the start venue at the last minute. Excellent organisation. Lovely route and organisers did very well considering the floods and must have been constantly busy the week before! Well done to all those involved (expect the water guy at mile 8 who couldn't be bothered to hand out water but just read his paper)
