In short: Lovely area, great run, poor organisation!
In full: First year I have done this run. The start was ridiculous, no segregation for the fast/slow runners. I am a slow runner so waited on the side till the end, but there were many other runners that should have done the same to give the faster ones a chance. Running through Henley on the way out and at the half way point was fantastic, people cheering you on and for me at the back, didn't have any problems with overcrowding. However had there been a group of us at the same point then it would have been a josstle for a piece of the road. At one point along the course I didn't know which way to go and took a guess (luckily the right one!). Water stations could have been more organised and slightly closer together. Maybe one extra water station on the course and a couple more tables at each station to avoid congestion. Finish was a bit a mess. No room for passing. No room to do a sprint finish and no medal! It always makes you smile when you get your medal. However as much as I have moaned here, I still beat my time from the GNR the weekend before and loved the hill at 8 miles. Best half marathon I have done for running, worst for organising!
