In short: Fabulous In full: It was an amazingly warm day for November today - just the day to run four laps of Bexhill seafront.
I wasn't sure about a lapped half but it actually works really well. You get to see more people than you usually would in a half as the leaders go by at one point and the slower runners go past at another.
The organisation was slick. Registration was very smooth and the marshals were fantastic as ever. Totally flat course - only one incline during each lap.
In short: Do this event. In full: Superbly organised by the LDWA. Cannot recommend this event highly enough if you like stomping around the mud of Surrey! Cannot understand some of the problems that people had with the directions - if you read them closely enough they were excellent. Well done LDWA. Date of review: February 21, 2010
In short: Not the best organised, but a nice route. In full: A number of issues here, including chip timing that didn't work (why do you need chip timing in a 5K?), a memento (bag) that related to a different race and generally not the best value for money. It's a real shame because it's a great course, with 5 1K(ish) laps of the village centre of Steyning but this race was very much a side show to the duathlon later on and didn't attract a great deal of people.
