In short: Very well organised, going to end up one of my regulars! In full: Didn't do this last year, and I was a bit apprehensive due to some of last years review, but if anything was wrong last year, it had all been sorted by this year.
Organisation was excellent, there were 6 water stations (far more than needed!) decent medal/socks, which for £16 is all you can ask for - I've paid more for shorter races.
Really pleasantly suprised by the race and the course. Well done all concerned! Date of review: March 8, 2009

In short: Great trail run with a bit of a challenge! In full: Lovely scenery in my "home territory." The initial hill creates quite a challenge - but is do-able. The rest of the race takes place on forest trails which undulate nicely, with the odd short hard bit thrown in.
Quite pricey for a 10K, but well organised with a decent goody bag, so not too terrible.
Only slight critisism is the start is crowded on a narrow track, so very hard to overtake for the frst 1/2 mile - wherever you are before the start is where you're stuck. Could do with starting the race in more open ground to allow people to filter before the hill, or starting people according to predicted time.
Still, overall, top stuff! Date of review: July 3, 2008
