In short: always a good race
In full: I've done this race 3 times now and enjoyed it more in previous years when it was less muddy. It would be good if the race could run for a bit before you get to the bridge area as there is always a long wait there. Nice t - shirt, small and fitted for the ladies rather than the usual tent that you get else where.

In short: Fantastic organisation for such a big race.
In full: This was the first time I've done this race and I got a pb so I am very pleased. Yes there is a tough hill but it does level out and there are some fab. downhills to make up for it. Not easy to organize this many runners but I think it went like clockwork. Sensible to have the finish, start, bag store, all separated out so that people can spread out. Good t-shirt - no need for more water in my opinion on a 10k race - beginners can always carry water if they need it. Well marshalled - all in all a very good race

In short: Tough but very scenic.
In full: Very well marshalled and organised. Nearly did myself a mischief on a black waist high (nearly!!!) bollard that ought to be taped up with flourescent tape. Really terrible music after the race - must be showing my age!! and a pointless goody bag with a very nasty cheap plastic bottle in it. But the race itself is very scenic and seems to be well organised. Nice touches with the segments of orange, bananas, bottles of water at the end.

In short: A very well organised event. Lovely sunny day - everyone seemed to be having a good time
In full: I would have liked the writing on the shirt to be a bit bigger and to stand out more - still it is nice not to have sponsors all over it.
I hate the waste of all those bottles of water but I can see why you use them. I didn't take them except once because I didn't like to have two sips and then throw the bottle down. Jelly babies were nice - thanks. Having said that - i think it is a great race and very well organised.

In short: A great off roader
In full: I know these hills well!!!! This is a great race. You have to leave something for the last hill unless you want to walk up it. Well organised - the only slight grumble I have is the bottle neck over the bridge at the beginning - a four minute wait there!!

In short: love this race
In full: I knocked 31 minutes of my 2006 time so incredibly pleased. If you train on hills then this race is great. Marshalls very friendly and encouraging. Loved the well done signs and the half way sign was a great boost. Super t shirt, medal and flowers. Definately a race I will do every year. Well done to all the organisers

In short: fantastic race - everyone should do it
In full: Despite it snowing on arrival, the clouds parted and the sun came out so that the stunning views could be enjoyed. Friendly marshalls, quiet country lanes, lovely momento and general good cheer. It will be a real loss if this race doesn't continue so tell all your friends and come along next year.

In short: really great race despite the horrid weather
In full: this race has everything going for it - beautiful location, mud, couple of hills up and down, friendly marshalls. Will do it again - its worth travelling to
