In short: Great fun, unexpectingly changing terrain.
In full: If your a beginner, i'd work on a few hill sessions before tackling this one, but very friendly, well organised, Happy Marshalls, and overall very enjoyable.

In short: A Beautiful Run
In full: To date, the nicest scenery i have run in a race.
Great run, quite challenging with the bridges, river gates, uneven ground, but a good test for leg strength. A little harder than your usual road Half Marathon but I loved it.

In short: My First 10K, Can't Fault it!!!
In full: My goal was to run under the hour, as I raced day before and I scrapped in at 59:56.
Well organised, Good atmospheare, great marshalls. A little more hilly than I expected but nothing too terrifying. Definately will run again!

In short: Great Pre-Race Marathon Build up Race.
In full: Well organised, Friendly Atmospshere Race.

Beat my Half Marathon PB by 17+min's.

The only improvement they could make would be to supply energy drinks as well as water and to either have chip - chip timing or a better start. Could not cross start line for over 4 mins from start gun going off.
Other than that Fantastic Race.

Well worth the Journey, will probably do it again!

In short: The Least the organisers could do is allow Free/Automatic Entry to Next Year's Event!
In full: I was really looking forward to running this race and am gutted that it cannot go ahead due to Foot & Mouth. I understand the reasons why it had to be cancelled!
The least the organisers could do is allow Free / Automatic entry to next year's Event. They have said we will receive a discount, but no mention what that might be?
Really feel organisers could of done better! SORRY!

In short: Painful to run in this year! But Fantastic!!!
In full: The heat was hard work and I had an injury after just the 5mile mark so although I limped the next 21 miles, The atmosphere was electric. This was my first marathon and would love to do it again and run all the way round next time without injury! Water was scarce between miles 7-12 and intermittant every 2-3 miles after. I dont think it was a lack of water, just requiring better distribution. RACE ITSELF FANTASTIC!
(Although it must be so hard to estimate the numbers for each water station!)

In short: If you have not run it yet? Enter 2008 Great Day!!!
In full: Upon arrival for the race getting out of the car the weather was bitterly cold with gale force winds and I did start to wonder What am I doing here?
However I do have to applaud the organisers, Sponsors & volunteers for a fantastic day throughout!
From the baggage hold area, the helpful enquiry staff to the marshalls and even to lady voluntarily handing out jelly babies during the race the organisation and efficiency was spot on!
Despite Gale force winds, Sleet, hail, rain and sunshine the atmosphere was electric!
I would recommend this race to anyone of any level for a great race day experience!
Go for it & enjoy!
