In short: Hills harder than I remembered
In full: My thirs time here - last in 2008. I'm sure those hills have got harder, or just my legs getting older. Hit a brick wall at 11 miles, so goodness knows what it would haved been like had there been a strong wind against me.
Love this race though - the people of Hastings give incredible support - really one of the best supported races out there.
I'll be back to get cloder to my goal of 1:26

In short: This could convert me
In full: My first Trionium event and definitely testing - still didn't blow up until 11 miles. Love the atmosphere and the marshals' support.

ps Steph was the nice lady at the 2/11 mile water jelly baby stop. I really shouldn't have stopped there as fell over shortly after. A lesson

In short: Well worth a couple of days off the beer
In full: Enough to shake you out of New Year's lethargy. Brilliant work from Tadworth to get this on given the icy conditions. Not as hard as I'd been led to belive but perhaps the icy, rather than muddy conditions, were a blessing.

In short: I'll try and train for this next year
In full: Having been injured last year, I managed to get myself semi-fit for this. despite not having enough miles in the legs I started off way too quick. By 5 miles my hill legs were shot but, you know, it didn't matter. It was great training, wonderful views, fast downhills, great encouragement - and beer, cake, chocolate at the finish. I'll defintiely be back next year. I'd like to see what it's like when muddy too.....

In short: Challenging but fun
In full: A big thanks to all for marshalling, organising etc. That lomng hill's a killer but I found the downhills harder as I'm a bit out of practise. Couldn't quite bring myself to let myself go. Now I know the route I'll be back next year to beat that time.

In short: Good fun this year
In full: Probably because I had a good run I enjoyed it this year. Towards the front it wasn't that crowded as you ran round but i heard grumbles from the pack. 6,000 runners is probably too many to handle. I agree with the medal comments - they are a touch more permanent that a T shirt.

In short: Speedy
In full: Managed a PB so definitely worth doing this race. It can be a little tricky underfoot when chaging from pavement to road and back again.

In short: Just missed a PB
In full: I don't think I can blame the course or organisation though. I thought i was going to enjoy this even more than I did. The long stretches, as one other reviewer has already said, are pretty dull - and I do prefer a bit of shade. Still brilliantly organised and can easily manage the numbers.

In full: My first Dorking 10K and apart from going up the longer hill for the second time I really enjoyed it.
