In short: great event passing 5 Church steeples- trails and quiet country lanes.
In full: a must do race - with free downloadable high resolution photos from racephotos by Bryan Dale at 3or4 locations on the course as a reminder of the day. plenty of marshals at the key places to ensure a safe event, well done race organiser. I think this is the fourth time I have done it be back next year.

In short: challenging route - SELF SUPPORTING. more like a long training run.
In full: a great event beautiful route at a fare price. unfortunatly poor reception at the finish - needs care on the return run as it would be easy to go the wrong way.poor quality medal but nice woolly hat. Personal drinks etc; taken to the 10/20 mile point but thats it. the free soup or jacket potato was the high point. much appreciated at the end. results need to be in 5 year age groups. I missed the awards ceremony.

In full: a good event well organised - liked the goody bag. one of the races that recognises all age groups, in the results and prizes for that reason I will all ways support it.Well done.

In short: Great race - as you would expect in the lakedistric a beautiful scenery
In full: worth the journey - a tough course as you would expect in the lake Distric and beautiful scenery - it happen to be my 144th marathon and my PW but then I am getting older and only 3 weeks since a big Opperation on my Carotid artery, even so I would do it again.

In short: course change at last minute due to Elf an Safety bridge closure, no age group awards
In full: good intentions but poor course marking and lack of marshals at key points meant that some runners went wrong way,not age groups awards, and should always be in 5 year groups, ice cold showers didn't help.

In short: Great Race - tough conditions underfoot .
In full: Pitty the organisers don't give age group prizes in 5 year groups, or at least produce the results in 5 year groups, as with all well supported races this should be the norm.

In short: short course by 0.8 - boring route - to much concrete.
In full: not excuse for the course to be short in the age of Satnavs and good course measurers - easy to rectify move the start back or the finish foreward. I feel very sorry for all the people who think they did PBs - not enough toilets at the start again easily rectified by hiring just a separate urinal only for the men - for me the course was very boring, to much concrete and considering it was in blackpool very little spectator support. Two of my friends entered the race by post and neither recieved there numbers only to be told on arrival that they had no record of this and that they had to pay again to enter- so in the end it has cost them £47 pounds, I only hope that original cheques havent been cashed and that it's the post office not the race organisers that are at fault, again I cann't see why they can't put a list of entries on the website, and also get the nubers and race details out earlier a week before is far to short a time when things go wrong like that there is not time to get it sorted.

In short: short course by 0.8 - feel very let down - boring route - to much concrete
In full: no excuse for a short course with the age of satnav and a good course measurer - easy to rectify, move the start back or the finish foreward- what a boring course - at a top price, I feel so sorry fot all the people who think they did a PB. definatly one to miss.
