In short: Great race shame about the finish
In full: The Conwy HM has the potential to be one of the best HM races in the UK. Okay PB potential is limited due to the relentless climb up the Great Orme -but what a scenic run - beautiful!

Well done having drinks at the top of the Orme this time. :o)

BUT ... the run to the finish line just after the cramped pavement over the bridge only wide enough for two abreast with pedestrians with kids and buggies coming in the opposite direction was a crazy finish to a race (that was otherwise largely car and people free).

Maybe this was a problem because I finished in 2 hr 15sec? Maybe earlier the walkway was pedestrian free?

Then sadly we had to wait in a 10min queue getting cold to pick up our medal and t shirt.

The finish needs to be earlier and more people are needed to distribute t shirts and medal.

These problems need ironing out because this race could be one of the best in the UK -if they did.

In full: Wonderful scenery, very well marshalled (encouraging and helpful), great supportive atmosphere.

This the first year - improvements needed for next time: avoid delayed start (15+mins), have drinks at top of Orme, get runners graded at start according to expected finish time, introduce chip times so start can be staggered to avoid bottle neck. Good luck - would love to do it again.

In short: Club race but friendly pretty flat and some nice country lanes
In full: Well marshalled - good encouragement.
Lots of drink stations. Nice course really apart from the bit around the industrial estate.
Good value overall - especially compared to some other half marathons.
Nice loaf at the end but some lasting momento would have been worth having -especially when you get a PB and want a keepsake.
I would just ask that some sort of sign be erected to say FINISH (A piece of card board on a stick would have made a big difference) because I was waiting for a 13mile marker and didn't see one so I thought there was about 300 yards to go about 10 yards from the finish line.

In short: Beautiful setting - very special - but beware of the hills!
In full: charge of £15 to use friends number who could run seemed a bit of a rip off ... otherwise top notch.

In short: friendly, fun, undulating with a hill at the end!
In full: A generally flat course with lots of little hills going over canals, rivers motorway and one final decent hill at the end to add some mental & physical challenge - and made a PB a bit more difficult. Scenic country lanes and villages. Sports shop/stall and bacon butties/soup for sale added nice touches to a friendly and fun 10k. Best arrive early for parking.
