In short: Hills are my friends..... In full: Firstly I would like to congratulate LBAC for putting on and marshalling such a great race, normally when crossing a main road the marshals will indicate to you when to cross. LBAC go one better, they formed a human chain across the road allowing me to run across in complete safety and receiving great words of encouragement.
Challenging course but great fun, see you next year........... Date of review: September 20, 2010

In short: Been there, done that ,got the T-shirt and wearing my medal. In full: My objective was to run this race, soak up the atmospheres and enjoy every mile. The crowd at Tower bridge are amazing and if you are ever thinking of running London then your fondest memory will be crossing Tower bridge.
My most distressing view was watching a Womble relieving himself in the Connaught underpass at mile 24. My image of these famous creatures has been ruined for ever.
I finished with a time of 5:29:19 without any injuries and are please to say that stairs hold no fear for me...............

In short: Mud, water and bales of hay............ In full: If you can run this race as a team and forget about trying to go for a time then do it. Team tactics were to start slow, keep going, have fun, catch the walkers, get wet, climb a few hay bales and to finish the course.
Great for a first time runners who has never experienced off-road running before :)

I enjoyed the run immensely as nothing is a boring as racing on flat roads this course has everything, undulating hills with a fantastic fast downhill section between mile 9 and 11. A special thanks goes out to all marshals were fantastic with words of encouragement and friendly smiles despite the cold they must have been feeling.
And as for the memento a rugby shirt that I can wear with pride Date of review: December 17, 2009

In short: Last 3 miles are a killer but thats down to lack of training. In full: I can understand the gripe the elite runners are having but never being in that standard I enjoyed my run.
Only one point I would like to raise, the race starts along the red routes and these can become crowed at the beginning of the race. I did see a competitor narrowly miss a bollard during the confusion and I heard some individuals were not so lucky. Perhaps these obstacle can be better protected for the benefit of the fun runners.
No gripes with the water and sponge stops …………………... Date of review: July 27, 2009
