In short: The best in a bad situation In full: As many have said, the main problems that arose did so because of the weather, and maybe some tweaks should have been made given the conditions. Though i'm not sympathetic to the views that people didnt like having to walk a bit for their goody bags - i'm pretty sure the every cheery marshals wouldnt have appreciated standing in the rain for the best part of 3hrs handing out soggy prizes! after 26.2, another few yards is nothing.
When i realised that i was going to achieve nothing like a decent time, i decided to just 'enjoy' the race and did so thanks to the non-stop overwhelming cheerful support from the hunderds of people who adorned the route, and the helpful and smiling marshals at the feed stations. At no point in the race did you feel lonely.
Yes i finished cold and wet and i'm taking longer to recover than normal, probably becuase of the conditions. But as a participant in an outdoors sport, you've got to take the rough with the smooth! Thank You Milton Keynes. Date of review: May 2, 2012
