In short: nice undulating but rediculously priced race
In full: Good scenery with scattering of spectators all the way round. Undulating with no great hills. only a medal at the end you even have to pay for a shirt. A high price and at the end you are over the line to ..... three or four people handing medals and it's almost no thought to after that. The drinks were tucked away round the corner almost as an after thought. I finished in first batch of the half and everything not affecting the finish, was being cleared away before the marathon had finished. It was as if they have your money, here's the race now go away. Don't get me wrong, it is a great race and very well organised. I just felt let down at the end with no local shops open, no stalls, and nothing except the hog roast stand laid on.

In short: Hills Hills and more hills
In full: The signs to get there were non existant ar tiny. the course was all up hill with the down hill bits very short and steep. All up hill stretches were long slogs. I don't mind a mix of hills but this one was tough.good atmosphere at the end. I asked for help at 9 miles but he didn't know where to get medical help.

In short: getting better
In full: better organised with no log jam to get out of the stadium. good course with plenty of first aid (well used). Hot day good atmosphere, not quite as good as last year. Goody bag had a rubber light bulb in and that was all. That is the worst bag ever.

In short: Heat overshadows race
In full: With very little shade and baking hot sun this may be a flat course but it was not easy. The half had one water stop at 3mile and the next about 7.5. In these conditions that was not good for beginners. Farm land with no views and a handfull of bystanders. allong the front it came alive with plenty of support and a little breeze. With a better field the 10K could have held finnished as the half started. As it was there was a few minutes between. Stewards watched as a car nearly nocked me down refusing to move across. In the right weather and with more organisation this could be a good course, where you look forward to the final coastal 3 mile run.
