In short: Overall enjoyable, but very busy and long inclines! In full: I should have done some hill training for this, but otherwsie I enjoyed the track. It was a shame that the Green's and Orange's were let out together as it meant there were a few miles of the Green's overtaking making it quite slow and stressful for those first few miles.
It was my first half and I was really glad to finish without any walking. It was quite disheartening to see so many people walking. Date of review: March 7, 2011

In short: Wonderful scenery, when you get to look at it! In full: This was my first race and for me, it was brilliant. Really enjoyed it, although it was very wet, very slippery, and a constant struggle for us all to stay upright as it is a well used track by people and machinery - making very small ridges for the runners. My GPS recorded 8.48 miles, so it seems well over the 8 miles described. There were a half way (ish) sign and a 1 mile to go (ish) sign. Very well organised and I appreciated the long walk back to the car park. The mug is amazing :) Date of review: November 21, 2010
