In short: This run is in my top five races
In full: Very friendly and welcoming bunch of people; good and varied track surface; well organised and good support from marshalls including advice on the conditions. Extra touches: reading out every runner's name crossing the line; stupendous 200m hill at 9.3 miles; engraved medal. And all for £10.

In short: Glorious mud!
In full: Friendly short race with a good crowd of runners and some excellent muddy bits. This was sold out for 2011 and I can see why - well organised, friendly bunch and generous deal (tshirt, medal and mince pies!)

In short: Excellent and horrendous!
In full: Very friendly atmosphere and easy decent group of people involved in this. Lots of smiles all day - made me happy to be here! I suspect that in heavy rain this would be a very tough race indeed, so we are lucky that it was dry in 2011.
Just short of 10m, but quite hard work - few flat surfaces throughout the whole race and the mix of surfaces (sand, deep sand, trail and grass) was unusual. I like the interlink with the 10k race - nice touch.

In short: Very friendly race with some excellent runners
In full: Nice race with good, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Well worth the trip down to the coast. Course is almost completely flat, slight head wind seemed to always be against us, but multiple laps enable runners to adjust.
Good bunch of marshals, organisers and runners.

In short: Very clubby and competitive; good organisation, bring your own support!
In full: Positives: Good scenery, competitive, virtually car free, good supply of lavatories, good organisation, good marshalling, warm tent for bag collection
Negatives: Aggressively competitive, little atmosphere and very little support for independents

In short: Well organised and friendly event
In full: Particularly liked the support at mile 4½ from the locals and quite a friendly bunch of people. These 10k races don't last too long, so not a lot more to say!

In short: Another cracking race on the Dorset Coast. Not to be taken too lightly however as the ascents are very steep!
In full: Great race and competitive without losing friendliness of the participants and ramblers that we all met en route. Slightly bewildered by the description as "half marathon" when my Garmin recorded 12.23M - what happened to the extra mile?! Great race though and good exercise. The second set of steps was tough going even at walking pace.

In short: Very friendly and welcoming race - fairly challenging with one horrendous ascent and some great descents
In full: Excellent race and I heartily recommend it - everything that you would want in a race all packed together for £6 and the best medal I have seen to date to boot! A good field of runners and good competition but the race didn't lose its down to earth friendly local atmosphere.

In short: Wonderful views and some great descents. Could easily turn into mud bath if it had been wet
In full: Cracking scenery and smoothly organised. All good and not as tough as people said it would be, but then it has been very dry recently. I imagine that this run could be quagmire in the wet, especially with those fantastic 60° descents

In short: Course changed and much tougher than in previous years - still a favorite
In full: Added hills and the somewhat protracted ending have this a tougher race than in previous years and slightly longer than 13.1m. One rather steep hill (but mercifully short!) knocked out a few, so completion times were fairly poor this time around.
