In short: not a bad race- shame about the parking
In full: the race was organised very well marshalled (although the short part that was on a very busy main road needs taking out) very friendly. good challeging course. car parking was an issue. the north is 1/2 a mile away and on a field. after saturdays rain was inches in water which caused problems not only on parking but when leaving (although i did see that 4x4 and tractors had been arranged) but its not what you want after 13.1 miles. the second car park was over 2.5 miles away??

In full: well worth the visit. did the 15km which was challenging. didn't see the changing rooms/ showers which was disappointing when your covered in mud and sweat. marshalls were excellent and encouraging. nice touch being able to leave with your phot's there and then

In short: good marshalls, changing rooms/meeting point disappointing
In full: what weather and think we had it all because of that made the course more difficult with deep puddles, running water and mud the finish wasn't the best either on the playing field after all that rain. bar area with all the families in there with the rain was crowded need a bigger venue for next year.

In short: wrong time of day.
In full: thought the course was ok and a few people came out to support on the way round which was nice. main problem was the 1400 start time. it could have been worse but too hot and at least one person i saw suffered for it. why have a race in june in the middle of the afternoon when the sun is going to be at its hottest? little disappointed in no medal but a face cloth with the event details on at the end. water was handed out around the course and at the end bottled water which hadn't been kept cold infact mine was very warm and not very drinkable. the marshalls and organisation was good around the course. nice touch having the results on a computer there and then.
