In short: My 13th - and I want to do another 13!
In full: Despite the rain, the crowds were brilliant yet again. They make it for me.

In short: Not the prettiest, but worth doing for a PB
In full: Very well marshalled - thank you to all of you on such a cold windy day. First time for me, but I will be back next year.

In short: My first Fleet - really enjoyed it despite the weather
In full: Start/Finish area muddy owing to heavy rain, but we seemed to get away OK. Resukts posted on website remarkably quickly. Despite being described as undulating, PBs are not out of the question.

In short: A reasonably challenging 10k early in the year
In full: Misleading description from RW on the events page. The route does not take in any of the iconic historic sites

In short: A very different event - well organised - friendly
In full: First time I've done this one. It's a great one to finish. Easily a marathon in terms of the effort needed. Feed/water stations were like little shops! Generous post-race feeding, put back the 2,300 calories I'd burned on the run within minutes of finishing! Good and friendly marshalling with the course well marked. It was nearer 21 miles, but who cares?!

In short: Local to me, so a useful early year race to het the momentum going fin my marathon schedule
In full: Not a pretty start and finish being amidst a medium-sized industrial site but has the advantage of plenty of parking in the various businesses empty car parks. A moderate climb from mile one to mile two, but made up by some longish flat and downhill sections, so a PB not impossible if you are feeling fit early in the new year. The medal (why did some say there wasn't one?) was tinny and cheap - would prefer a tee shirt or mug (but, I always do!). A favourite because it's early in the year test of how slow I've become since last summer ... horrible thought ... I've got to run a faster pace today than I did today on the London marathon course that will be over five times longer ... got some work to do!

In short: I always think I'll do a better time in this race - maybe I don't like afternoon runs?
In full: How come that I always do better in the Winchester 10k - in February - which is hillier?! For the second year in a row I was disappointed. Always has the potential for a PB though.

In short: My first attempt. Wet, windy, muddy, but really enjoyed it. Excellent tea and cake at finish.
In full: The views would be stunning on a better day. The mist, rain and the need to concentrate on ones footing prevented this today. My aim was to avoid falling over in the mud and puddles. Finisghed quicker than expected. Despite the weather, a great event.

In short: Cold day, but wind on ones back on the one long flat section.
In full: I do this one because it's on my doorstep. Marshalling was a bit spartan. The start was a bit chaotic with traffic still moving through the line up 5 mins before the off.

In short: Expensive - but would do it again because it's on the doorstep
In full: Mile markers obscured by spectators - not their fault! They need to be fastened to street furniture well above head height. Missed mile 5 completely ... and I know the course!
