In short: Stunning views around Keswick In full: Well it had it all, a trail race with mud, swamps. hills, gravel & lots of ups & downs. Had a great day out in Keswick and ran a well organised Trail race that was a good challenge with the reward of some great scenery on route. Well done to everyone who help organise and who ran & a big thankyou to the Samba Drummers who were superb. Date of review: September 1, 2012

In short: Wet & muddy In full: As previously said very much akin to a cross country race. Left hanging around at the start for 10 mins awaiting the marshalls getting sorted. Overall it was an OK 10km, I've run better & worse. Date of review: July 30, 2012

In short: A run out over the Yorkshire Hills In full: A great, well organised half marathon. A challenging course but a good race for those training for a spring marathon. Found the steep downs as hard on the legs as the ups. Well done to all for putting on a great event. Date of review: February 12, 2012

In short: A great day in Birmingham In full: I have run various Great Run events and the support in all of their events is always amazing and Birmingham is no exception. The crowds were brilliant and the number of people who shouted your name from your number to keep you going was superb. The event is the usual sleak operation you expect from the Great Run team. So its a Big Well Done to all the Great Run staff, the Marshalls and all the people of Birmingham for putting on a great Half Marathon. Date of review: October 24, 2011

In short: Beautiful sunny day in the hills of Pudsey In full: A really well organised and supported race. But not for the faint hearted, it is a challenging 10k in true Yorkshire tradition has no flat bits. There are some challenging off road climbs and some steep down hills on loose gravel tracks that are just as hard. All that said it was great fun in the sun (so it was hot as well)and well organised. It's a different challenge which is what makes running so much fun. Date of review: July 24, 2011

In short: Hilly, wet & windy In full: Even though it rained all morning, the people of Stoke were still there to support us mad fools running in the rain. It is a wonderful challenging race which is well organised with a superb goody bag of a T shirt, plate & medal. Well done Stoke and all involved in organising such a great event. In short: A well organised race in Leeds In full: Third year of doing this race and those hills get me every time. Didn't help with the weather been humid. Well organised race, plenty of water in nice small bottles, great t shirt & medal, just a shame about the coned off road on the last 3 miles been a bit narrow. Overall a great half marathon. In short: A great run on the windy sea front of Southport In full: As said in previous comments, a very windy day in Southport. But a really well organised race over a great course. Had a wonderful time, they can teach some of the bigger events how to do it properly. Great facilities, excellent friendly marshals, great goody bag and T shirt, the prose on the back of the T Shirt is great, it added another personal touch to a great race. But keep it a secret as I want to do it again next year and I can see this growing into a popular event. Well done Southport Hesketh Round Table and your supporters/sponsors.
