In short: Virtually guaranteed bad weather but the marshalls and organisation more than make up!
In full: Have to be bias as it's my own club that runs this but great atmosphere and the marshalls were terrific, especially in the wind and rain just after the start. Challenging hill just after half way and the off-road bits were a bit slippery but really enjoyed the experience. Go BJ's!!

In short: Challenge and surpass your pre-conceived limitations!
In full: Loved it! Tough hills (especially that one up to Farley Mount), great scenery and fantastic marshalling throughout. Logistic nightmare but it worked so well - credit to everyone involved. The noise and support at the transition points were like running into a football stadium - fantastic and kept you going to the next one! Meeting the half marathon runners just outside Broughton provided mind challenge. Other than the minor blip with getting the marathon results out everything was just perfect. Well done to everyone, from organisers to marshalls to runners

In short: Stunning scenery, lovely weather, what else would you do on a sunday!?
In full: Did the marathon and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great deal of thought went into the route and loved the 'follow the string' route through the yew trees! Not so keen on the road bit through Wilton so be good if that could be diverted off-road somehow (maybe we could run through that estate too!??). Any off-road marathon is gonna be tricky to get distance precision. Jelly babies and bread pudding went down a treat. Bit worrying that one runner from our club was 'chipped' as having finished whereas infact she was still out on the course - luckily she arrived safe and sound but that really needs to be sorted out. All in all, great time!

In short: The scenery views are just rewards for the uphill efforts
In full: Really enjoyed the run this year. Hot but nice cooling breeze on the way down to the Bill, albeit you had to work a bit harder on the downhills than expected as it was slap bang in your face. Excellent water and sponge stations but missed the jelly-babies that were normally at the Bill !! That last mile doesn't get any easier.... Great organisation and quality award at the end - well done RMP

In short: Well done Zoom Tri - fabulous organisation, brilliant marshalls and excellent techi t-shirt and medal
In full: Hard to make yourself go round again after 10 miles but the support from all the marshalls, especially the two women by The Lamb Inn at 8/18 miles was really encouraging. Not one but two mementos.....no complaints...well done to all who completed this tough distance

In short: Free wind resistance training thrown in!
In full: I'm sure that hill at 3 miles gets longer and steeper every year! Glad it didn't rain but the wind on the way back was challenging. Nice touches to have free tea / coffee / soup / hot dog / mars bar to recharge the caleries burned>>>

In short: A fab time!
In full: Mild undulations (although a bit of a workmanlike hill just after half way!) - great marshalling and fab beanie hat at the end.

In short: Phew what a scorcher!
In full: Lovely scenery but the combination of intense sunshine, minimal shade and constant up and down didn't actually allow much time for view intakes. Glad there was the extra water station though! Have to be a bit cooler next time....
