In short: Another good race at Paddock Wood
In full: Another well organised race, numbers seemed to be up on last year but parking was not an issue. There was a big BCA building available but we didnt seem to have much use of it. Course was very good throughout despite some flooding. Only negative was some of the commentators comments about finishers, I saw one 2hr plus chap doing a quick visit and a comment was passed like 'youve decided to start running now!'. Not needed as its an achievement for everyone to finish in their own right.

In short: Another great Hastings Half
In full: Excellent race! Great course with roads completely closed. Drinks stations well run and fantastic crowd support even in the bad weather!

Only concern is the start - there were many people in the incorrect zone, maybe not their fault but better promulgation of the start zones should have been made in the announcements and pre race documents sent out. This cost me a lot of time.

Finish was good with plenty of tea, drink and fruit.

See you next year!

In short: Good race but not so sure on value for money
In full: A good well supported race. Start was delayed which is unacceptable, there should be better management of entries on the day to avoid such delays. Traffic is a concern on the course particularly towards the end of the race. Bottled water was advertised but we still ended up with naff cups. As for the entry fee, the only return was a medal and a bottle of water at the end. Very poor when considering other similar races in the area. The race is big now and care must be taken to ensure that it does not turn into a chaotic event.

In short: Very good 10k race
In full: This race was pretty well organised, much better than the Southend Half. The only gripes were that they needed a bigger water station for the size of the field, had to go without as I didnt fancy queueing up. Also why were the finisher T shirts so far away from the finish. Shame the electronic timing didnt go ahead because the person was ill.
Overall a good race and would do it again, great course along the sea front.

In short: Very good race
In full: Very good race, well marshalled. I was worried about the traffic but it is no worse than any other event. Good parking for cars and plenty for spectators to see. The two lap set up is great for spectators also (maximises cheering points!).

The second water station couldnt keep up with demand on lap one, shame some greedy people took two cups, I wasnt going to stop as there was a queue, but I was peeved off when the two cup grabbers decided to pour one over there head, especially when sponges were available as well!

What happened over the start time, im sure the documents said 1000 but an announcement was made sating 1030.. some confusion here which was frustrating!

In short: Good race, very hot!
In full: A good race, got a PB despite the heat.
Loads of marshals on the course but the car parking could have been better organised with marshals at the entry points telling you that they are full rather than waiting for you to drive in!
Other than that struggling to find any major faults, some orange squash would have been nice at the finish! Liked the t-shirt but a more permanent momento would have gone down well even if its just a keyring or something!
Will prob do again.
Thanks to the marshals, you were great around the course and really friendly.

In short: Very good race!
In full: very good race, excellent organisation and fantastic value. Good course on mixture of surfaces with a few good hils. Weather was not good for spectators but great for runners! Plenty of water stations and the farmers sprinkler was welcome!

Well organised, will do again! Could have done with more distance markers but I dont think the weather helped with painting them on the road.

In short: Slightly disappointed
In full: Was not expecting PB race due to weather, but managed one none the less! Start was chaos, no identified start line, the fun run had a big start hoarding but the half nothing! No championchip timers at the start so what was the point?

Plenty of water but it tasted a bit stagnant? Had 97 on the bottles perhaps thats when they were filled!

Marshals were very good, very helpful and interractive. Nice enough course.

Finish also a bit chaotic, could do with some tents for shade this time of year.

Overall, OK race, organisers had good intentions.

In short: Good race, challenging course
In full: Challenging undulating course. Not traffic free but as good as it could be. Organisation good although marshals perhaps could have done more around the junctions. Still a nice atmosphere.

Car parking needs better organisation.

In short: Excellent race, first class organisation
In full: Excellent organisation.
Pleant of marshals and police support.
Next to no traffic on the roads that were open.
Very scenic.
Lots of water and sponge stations.
Excellent base & fruit and water and the end was welcome.
Momento was first class.
Other races should look and learn!
