In short: Quick, but quite tough on the day
In full: Second time I've done this and it's definitely a good quick course, plus well organised, friendly and masses of prizes at the end too.
This year was both hot and breezy and I struggled towards the end, but managed to come home with a very nice prize, so well pleased overall.

In short: Really nice race run for the benefit of the local primary school
In full: Really convenient for me, and the first race when I came back to running two years ago, so it's quite special to me. Also covers the route that my old lunchtime runs used to take, which was great.
course is fine, half on quiet roads and half on concrete private roads. Quite quick with no major inclines to worry anyone and plenty of support along the way.
Leading runners had an unusual problem in the form of a group of militant horse riders who refused to move out of the way along the narrow lanes and told us not to come past us, and that we had no right to be running on their road. Some people really have no manners, and it cost us several seconds while we waited for a safe moment to pass!
It's a race well worth turning up for and deserves more support from the running community.
I was delighted to be this year's winner and will be back next year.

In short: wet but fun
In full: Poor weather didn't dampen anyone's spirits, a good fun local race, well organised, good cakes afterwards and nice prizes. The second half on Marriotts way made the course a little slower than a regular all road event, but it was a really nice run out and I was lucky enough to get a prize for third place. I'll do it next year.

In short: excellent fast, flat 10k. Thoroughly recommended
In full: Nice flat 10k, well organised and very friendly. No traffic to worry about as the course is mostly on hard footpaths or closed roads and I was rewarded with a PB of 35.03 and first M45. really enjoyed this and will be back next year assuming legs still work.

In short: Really nice, fast race, well organised and very friendly
In full: Great 10 miler. I didn't notice any particular undulations and got a PB by 1 min 40. The event was very well organised with heaps of prizes to give out, following the raffle (which took ages) and I was lucky enough to go home with a prize for second MV45.
Good field with some genuinely quick guys at the sharp end of the race. Thoroughly recommended!

In short: Probably the best 10k in the world ever!
In full: This is a fantastic race, with an extraordinarily friendly atmosphere, helped once again by brilliant warm sunny weather, despite the forecast. The course is quick and scenic, marshalls friendly and encouraging and the finish slopes very gently downhill, making a fast last kilometre an near certainty. The only downside was the coincidental timing of the Great East Anglia Run, meaning that the speedy guys were absent. The bonus from this was I was able to finish second in a PB by over 30 seconds.
This is a definite inclusion in next year's calendar!

In short: Hard but hugely enjoyable 10 on a perfect day
In full: I found this race really tough, the hill after the first mile dragged my split times way off what I wanted which meant I had to work really hard to try and get time back just when we turned into the breeze.
Marshalling was fantastic, I've never seen so many or such cheerful marshalls in a race, great to see them out. Organisation was spot on, goodie bags were great and I managed to duck under the hour for the first time in over 2 decades. Plus I got a trophy, so all in all a thoroughly good day out!

In short: Excellent race, snow made things interesting
In full: The weather could have been a lot worse, there was a lot of snow but very little wind. The race was very well organised with really excellent marshalling despite the arctic weather.
The hill is a toughie, normally you can make up the time on the downslope but this year the track through the woods was very slippery and certainly cost people a few seconds on each lap.
I was pleased with my time, 3 minutes quicker than last year and 1.20 faster than my PB set at the end of 2007.

In short: Excellent race, superb organisation, fast course
In full: Really enjoyed this race, well organised, fast etc despite a reasonably strong wind. Set a PB despite cramp slowing me down towards the end. Will be back next year.
