In short: Great Event. Shame my Chip did not register at the Start In full: PLEASE READ THIS, then Race Report after. IF YOU FOUND A MARATHON ISSUE BAG ON THE TRAIN FROM BRIGHTON TO SOUTHAMPTON WITH NUMBER 5657 ON PLEASE PLEASE CONTACT ME: MICK JAMES 07842573185. IT HAS A LOT OF PERSONAL BITS IN INCLUDING ALL THE FINISHERS ISSUE BITS EXCEPT MEDAL, INCLUDING READING GLASSSES AND WE ALL KNOW THE COST OF THEM. I have been back to Brighton station lost property and no joy.
To the Race: What a day, my second and best, a bit short of my London PB but have had my health issues like a lot of other people.
I have only 1 problem: The Timing Chip, it did not trigger at the Start thus all I get is Gun Time results, even though I started with friends who's chip did work. 143 other chips on the Final results did not work properly either, so not just mine..
Would I do it again? you bet I would I want a PB yet on this event. So See You ALL Again in 2013... Please no number chips unless 100% Date of review: April 19, 2012

In short: Amazing event and my thanks to ALL of Brighton. In full: I have only 2 slight negatives: 1,as last year still more loos needed. 2,in the booklet sent to runners there was just about everthing we needed to know, except where the park and ride buses were picking up from after the event. I went to the Metropol hotel for the massage and thought the buses would be central, but no they were right back past the repat area, I could not see them as I went through the repat area the first time as friends and family were not in the letter areas but blocking the exit that the runners came out of, so to see the buses that ended up several hundred yards further along was impossible. So please can that detail be added next year.
As for the rest of the day I can only say IT WAS GREAT and well done to ALL involved in it's organisation. SEE YOU NEXT YEAR. Date of review: April 11, 2011

In short: The BEST one I have taken part in. In full: Great orgainsiation and everyone doing a great job on the road as well.
Just a shame there is always at least ONE competitor that does not know what to do with the advance paperwork or website info for the event and cannot use a map to make sure HE knows the way to the event and start.
A&D & Nice Work Please keep up the good work. Date of review: February 6, 2011

In short: If you want an event with a flat course then this will do the job, BUT bring your own food. In full: An event I've run twice and both times gone home enpty handed as dispite the entry fee you get nothing but a medal, and no food except a burger wagon job. Refreshments would go down well and get the organisers a bit more profit. And what has now come to be common place NOT just a medal but a small goody bag as the entry fee if high enough for one.
On a final note apart from the mega phone being not too mega, the organisation was very good with no problems that I saw. Keep up the effort but PLEASE consider my comments. Date of review: August 23, 2010

In short: I have to agree with EVERYTHING others have said before me. In full: As I have said I agree totaly with what others have said, Great Event, Great Organisation and Marshalls and Drink stations second to none. As a one of the runners I can not fault this event.
But on behalf of spectators and runners after they have changed, what about REFRESHMENTS, I found nothing in the way of Tea's, Coffee's or food that could be purchased.
I have competed in this event several other years and have found the same regarding non-runner refreshments.
PLEASE can this be considered in future events Regards

In short: The best organised I have run for some time. In full: A lot already said, VERY WELL organised, GREAT MARSHALS and WATER GIRLS. Challanging course that I had not run before, so the hilly bits did supprise me and my legs. Only had a few car drivers a bit pushy and one that nearly took my arm with it. Well Done to all who ran and ALL who helped. Date of review: March 14, 2010
