In short: One of the best 5ks in the UK!
In full: 2nd time for me and now definitely one of my favourite races. Great Village atmosphere, great crowd support, great marshalling and a medal to boot, all for a fiver!

Medium challenging course and my only concern would be the younger runners starting at the front. I felt I lost about 10 seconds trying to get past them but this was only a small gripe compared to the overall success that this race is.

In short: Very Enjoyable
In full: Very enjoyable and definitely one for a PB.
Organisation was good and very well marshalled although I thought those coming in around the 50 minute mark looked like they had a long wait to get their medals!

Very Very good value at a tenner though and was well worth the trip from South Wales.

In short: Beautifull tough!!!
In full: Excellent organisation, good run and a nice tonic for those didnt get into the London Marathon blues.

Not a PB race and very tough in places but excellent preparation to have a fast time on a flatter course.
Well done to the organisers and helpers. Would definately do again!

In short: MUST DO HALF
In full: As an overall experience this is a must on your race calender. Yes its a tough route and plenty of hills but the scenery is immense especially at the top of the first hill. Bourton-on-Water is as "chocolate box" England as you can get and everything about this one including the start time is quality.

Also the sponges were a great idea, wish more longer races supplied these!

In short: A VERY PLEASANT RACE INDEED!
In full: A very nice 10k and definate pb potential although not as easy a course as it first looks!

Organisation was spot on and I think there was more toilets here then there was for the FLM!

Was also great to see the Union flag flying high which added to this already very British atmosphere!

Well done to all involved!

In short: RE: GOOD - A FEW MINOR GRIPES
In full: thought this was a good event. my only gripes are the start which was way to tight and the km markers which werent easy to see. in my particular case i didnt see the 8km marker which was when i was intending to push for home, costing me a pb.

all in all a good show and i might be back!

In short: I cant Imagine there Being a Better Race in the World
In full: This was my 4th Marathon and my 1st FLM. I ran Los Angeles and Stockholm last year and they were both top quality but neither of them prepared me for the assault on my senses that London provided. The crowd support is unbelievable and you have to run it to fully understand how good it is. Its the closest you can get to running out at Wembley for a cup final. Yes at times the noise was deafening!
Forget about PBS (sure its great if you get one) but this is the greatest experience you will ever have outside being a professional sports person.
Memories that will stay with me forever.

In short: BEST 10K IN BRITAIN
In full: Well what a difference from last year weather wise! Still amazing race and a great recovery run for me after injury and building up for the cardiff Half.

Swansea Bay and the Mumbles are one of the best kept secrets in the world and this race does it proud. ( even in the glorious welsh weather!)

In short: Fantastic way to spend New Year
In full: I absolutely loved this event. Atmosphere was cracking - great crowd support and had a real unique big event race. Running at night was fantastic. Great medal and goody bag and a real sense that you were taking part in a real special traditional event.

Absolutely buzzing and congrats to the organisers and helpers. Im going to be doing this for years to come. 20 mins 15 secs unofficial time for me and I had plenty left in the tank so ill be looking for a 19 minuter next year.

I urge you to do this - missed the special guest lighting the beacon but did catch the fireworks driving in. Not sure if this was changed as I thought it was happening after the main event?
Maybe because of the weather which miraculously subsided in time for the race!!
