In short: First time - incredible crowd, tough weather
In full: Crowd was absolutely sensational. The volunteers were excellent. Was a little disappointed with the non-management of the starting pens, though.
Didn't feel as euphoric at the end as I might have hoped, but certainly crossed the line with a huge smile.

In short: Weather couldn't put a dampner on it
In full: In spite of tough weather conditions (cold, rained the whole time, a series of deep and long puddles to wade through) and a very challenging middle section this was really well organised and enjoyed.
Whole roads (or at least carriageways in one direction) shut off for the runners and amazing support from the locals even out in the sticks.
A shame that there's no obvious transport from the train station to the race as turnaround time doesn't allow much prep, but that's barely a complaint.

In short: Cobbled-together feel
In full: Organisation of the associated fun day was good but the course was poor, far too tight in places early on for that volume of runners.
The route was fairly grim and the Olympic Park section a total let-down.

In short: Better organisation before, great course and great time!
In full: Added chip timings this time around which is a big bonus. Thankfully the weather was perfect too.

In short: Enjoyable but not incredibly well organised. Start is cramped and paths are narrow after the first mile or so. Not chip-timed, so lost out on the start.

In short: First time 10mile for me and exceeded expectations (and target time!), in spite of the rain. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
