In short: An enjoyable day In full: Ran this as my first 20 in prep for VLM. Although I was at the back, with some other first timers, I really enjoyed it. The course is slightly undulating but not too hideous. The marshals were absolutely fabulous - friendly, supportive and sometime humourous. Water station staff too were brilliant. Big round of applause to the organisers. Date of review: February 23, 2010
In short: Fast course with pros and cons In full: Fast course, mostly flat. Smashed the time I was aiming for and smashed my PB for that matter. Well organised but it did start late and the goody bag was a bit poor. Those who missed out really didn't miss out on much - a pen from the hospice, a stressball car and a medal. Bit too expensive to run again but I like the t-shirt - women's fit! :) Date of review: September 6, 2009
In short: ok but not brilliant In full: For a small race it was ok, but I almost left without my medal and T-shirt. They should have given those out as we finished. The start was also a bit confusing but no big deal, it's a "fun" run! I wish it had started earlier though; the course just got hotter and hotter and I probably would have enjoyed it more had it been before it really started to heat up.
People were friendly; not a bad race in all. Date of review: May 12, 2008
In short: Hilly and windy but I'll be back next year In full: This was my second time at Watford and although I was cursing myself for having signed up again, I actually managed to knock off 10mins from my time last year. The hills are rotten but I feel like I completed a huge challenge and lived to tell the tale. A very well organised race! Date of review: February 4, 2008
